I had high hopes for this place as they advertise Homemade Icecreams. I expected all the ingredients to be fresh, organic, natural, quality ice cream that I can put in a milkshake. It was disappointing and slightly misleading when I immediately walk in and see gallons and gallons of the flavoring syrups right behind the counter. ALL with the first ingredient being HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP! When I went to the front I asked for a vanilla/chocolate milkshake. The girl was very nice and asked if I liked the milkshake thicker or thinner, I chose thinner so she advised me to go with the soft serve ice cream. She then asked if I wanted the vanilla and chocolate syrup mixed in or vanilla with chocolate syrup. I wanted a vanilla AND chocolate softserve that was mixed...no syrups. So I really was taken back that this was the normal way they make black and white milkshakes... She said without the syrup, it would just taste like milk..... We got the milkshake and it tasted like straight up chocolate syrup, too sweet. I understand things come in syrup form and you use it for flavoring but for a simple vanilla and chocolate you shouldn't have to resort in using syrups to get the flavoring. Please work on more organic options, so many other ice cream parlors are able to achieve this so it would be nice to see this place...
Read moreWe have been coming to this shop for far more than I can remember. The first ice cream my daughters tasted were from here. In addition, my daughter's cake for her very first birthday was from here. There is something about their creamy and smooth ice cream that you absolutely cannot find anywhere else. I have moved to New York for many years now and I always return in the spring or summer to get a taste of their ice cream. I swear, I have tried many NY ice cream parlors, well-known restaurants, and ice cream tubs from Walmart, but nothing can compare to this! I have a wild guess and can definitely tell that their secret ingredient is love because whenever I step foot in the parlor, everyone is smiling, happy, and you can feel the good vibes. The owners are very friendly and are always are up for a quick chat regardless of whether they are busy or not. I can tell they are passionate and love doing what they do... which is making the best gosh darn ice cream ever! Don't even get me started about the sprinkles, oh gosh! Their sprinkles taste better than any other sprinkles and are so soft and flavorful! It honestly just feels like a cozy home sweet serving up America's best ice cream. Don't just take my word for it, go and get some for yourself and see why my family absolutely loves this...
Read moreThis was my first time visit. It's a little bit out of the way for me but I heard so much about Lindy Hops Homemade Ice Cream that I just had to try it.
It's great but I don't see much of a difference in the taste compared to Little's Dairy Bar in Egg Harbor Township, other than the price. I guess because Lindy Hops have a nicer property setup they charge a little more. I think I'll stick to Little's Dairy Bar as they make me feel welcome and not rushed, and they dont charge for sprinkles.
I'm not sure if Little's Dairy Bar is homemade ice cream but it certainly taste the same. But either way, customer service means a lot to me and I dont like how I was treated at Lindy Hops.
Oh and I forgot to mention, they're CASH ONLY. So to me that's a thumbs down. Although it's nice to have an ATM there but no one wants to get charged a fee that amounts to 50% of the product they're paying for.
Cmon people, we're in 2019! It's not enough to have a good product, it's also about the experience and leaving a good impression. I wouldve given this place 2-stars but the fact that I like the ice cream, I...
