Porretto Beach — Attraction in Galveston

We visited on a Friday, it was not crowded at all. Very clean minus the stray plastic here and there. Parking is $15/car but it is all day and you can come and go and very convenient. If you rent an umbrella and chairs you can have food delivered to your chair, but you can bring your own chairs, blankets, coolers, etc. Alcohol is allowed on this beach unlike most of Galveston. Went on the weekend. A bit busy. parking on the street pay through the app. its nice temperature for swimming in May. Kids enjoyed it very shallow lots of sea weed which make it a bit uncomfortable while swimming until you get used to it. Not as salty as open and water is a big greenish grey. Nice day out very relaxing and enjoyable. I recommend brining in a parasol for the sun and food for a picnic and lots of water. Bewear of the seagulls that...
