I was really excited to try this place out. Typically when I see the word taqueria I leave satisfied. This was not the case last night. I originally went because I wanted nachos but after learning what they put on them I decided to pass because I would have ended up with a plate of chips, meat, and guac. Decided to go with the Quesabirria. I was in literal disgust. The meat was not only seasonless, it was way over cooked and mushy. Basically roast beef tacos if you will. The queso tasted like watered down cheez wiz with some red pepper in it and the green sauce was so spicy neither one of us could enjoy it. The fact I spent $50 for 2 drinks, queso, and 6 tacos to not be satisfied is unacceptable. I pay less at a taco truck with way better quality and tasting food. We sat there for awhile with empty plates and no check. When we asked for the check we didn’t receive an itemized ticket so I’m not even sure I was charged correctly. We won’t be back.

Edited to add I was definitely overcharged and this is probably why no one receives itemized checks. I will be stopping by to figure...

Went here for the first time with the family a few days ago. The food was OK, service was a little slow even though they weren't really busy. But tbh we were all extremely turned off by the drinks. We ordered Cokes and they asked if we wanted regular Coke or Mexican Coke. We all ordered regular Cokes because we know Mexican Cokes come in bottles and are charged per bottle so we figured regular Coke would be from a fountain machine and have free refills like a normal restaurant. We were all extremely upset to discover regular Cokes are served in cans. For $3 a can. Menu doesn't state they're served in cans either. Absolutely ridiculous pricing for a soda. If you went to a vending machine that dispensed cans and saw it was $3 a can, you likely wouldn't buy it. After the first Coke, we switched to water.

Also, they do give you chips and salsa, but the bowls the salsa is served in are VERY tiny. I'd be surprised if you could even pour a ladle worth of salsa in them.

I ordered the chicken enchiladas as a meal, which was pretty good. Nothing extraordinary but nothing...

When I go to a Mexican restaurant the food takes on a secondary place for me, mostly because I am easy to please with my culinary tastes. I mainly go because I love Margaritas. Up until this day I thought I would never find a Margarita that I could not stand.. I mean I find one here and there that are okay, or not so great. However, this was an untolerable mixture of what tasted like chardonnay mixed with dollar store marg mix. Alas there are other things as well, like the poor waitress that was definitely waiting on EVERY table in the place. Hence why our drinks, etc. took longer than expected. Plus I felt the place was exceptionally warm (I do in their defense tend to run a bit on the warm side anyways, AC at 68..) the silver lining was that the food wasn't terrible. Compared to the Margaritas it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant, so that's something I guess. Over all I certainly won't be returning, but should you venture out to this little whole in the wall be sure to...

I have read several reviews about this place stating that it was an establishment with poor service. I wanted to leave a review of my own opinion in regards to this. From the moment I have walked in the door until I sat down, I have been greeted with friendliness, chips and homemade salsa, Also, my drink and my food order where taken quickly. When my order was put in, within 5-10 minutes of waiting, my food was placed in front of me. Now to the food- I choose to eat the TACOS DE BISTEC TACOS SERVED WITH PICO DE GALLO. GRILLED ONIONS, CHARRO BEANS GUACAMOLE AND SOUR CREAM. The taste of the charro beans by themselves was amazing but the tacos had a really nice flavor from the meat to the toppings. They both came on homemade tortillas, I had one corn and one flour. The chips and salsa were hard to stop eating. To the service I say thanks for all you do and for waiting on me continuously throughout my meal, making sure everything was good and not letting me leave disappointed.

This was a small place right as you get in the seawall. First let me say the food was great! The service was not bad but not great. We (3 people) & ordered queso & ice tea, came with no ice. Had to ask a couple times for cups of ice. She brought back one. Asked for more and straws. That took a few. She never came back to refill drinks or chips or salsa. Had to flag another waitress down to get chips. The queso did not come out till our meal came out. They were busy but nothing more than a weekday lunch crowd, all tables were not full. The patio was a nice area to sit and see the water. Lots of menu options including breakfast. Ice cold beer & a jukebox. The food came out hot and fresh, tasted great. I think they should have left all the magazines pics of men up in the bathroom stalls in stead of painting over them. 😂😂

I can't speak for restaurant appearance or staff however I went about 5 years ago and I remember the dining area and bathrooms were not very clean, trash was everywhere but the food was great! This time I ordered to go so can't speak for it's current appearance. I ordered the pozole, it was very good and this would have been a 5 star review however I have an issue with the way it was packaged. It looked as though it had been poured boiling hot into the Styrofoam cup it came in. The cup was semi-melted and the plastic lid was falling apart! I do not want to ingest chemicals from melted Styrofoam and plastic with my meal! There were pieces of plastic lid in my soup, I had to throw it away. The other cup I ordered wasn't as bad so I ate it but was kind of leary lol. Please package your stuff better!
