Salt Water Gift Shop & Golf Cart Rental — Attraction in Galveston

The woman working the register was a bit rude. They rode fine. The issue wasn’t until we went to return them that she asked us what happened to my boyfriends scooter and we told her it was already like that. She tried saying we broke it and it wasn’t like that before we left, when it was. I even mentioned to my boyfriend that she gave him the worst scooter available, because there was two BRAND NEW ones right next to the one she gave him. He literally got the most beat up bike out there, as you can see the front bumper is broken. This photo was taken maybe 5-10 minutes after we left the shop. This was the only time we drove off of a sidewalk because it was at our rental, and as you can see there are no sidewalks. His niece even made a comment that he had a “ghetto” bike because the front bumper was broken. She made us stand outside for like 5-10 mins in the heat while she looked at the bike/went inside i’m assuming to talk to the owner or something i don’t know. I could tell she didn’t believe us, but what would we gain from lying lol. She finally gave us our IDs back and said we could leave but she didn’t even take the key from my moped back so I had to wait for like 10 mins in line inside the store while she dealt with customers to return the stupid key because she ignored me when i walked straight to the counter past the customers to return it. I should have just left it on the bike and let someone steal it with how snarky she was being.

This place has so many choices for rental and lots of gifts for families. Their carts are clean and well kept, prices are on point and the employees are helpful and professional and they give you the safety do’s & don’ts with a map. I recommend it 100%!! We rented the golf cart on our 24th anniversary on Monday 7/11/22, we had a great experience over all. My husband forgot his business phone in the cart. We realized it when we were already in Houston and we turned around, but it was way after hours. What I do have to say, Mark an employee was fabulous and went over and beyond to make sure we got our phone back. He was courteous and kind when we rented the cart earlier that day, answered all our questions, gave us that warm fuzzy feeling, that’s why we went in and rented from this establishment, of course the competitive rates was a plus. Mark even helped us park our car in a safe place, so we don’t get any tickets. Once we lost our phone, we reached out and Mark allowed us to search through all the carts to retrieve our business phone. He could have been like anyone else and suggest to go back in the morning, but he didn’t. Thank God for good, kind, helpful and responsible employees at this establishment. Again! I...
