Went in today to buy a few products I needed, the Fiance went with me and subsequently got bored and decided to walk over to Gamestop which is right across from the Sephora. He comes back to tell me something and decides to stay with me while I finish looking around. Like a normal human being he is using his phone and taking it out/putting it in his pockets numerous times. An obnoxious sales associates starts following us - asks me if I need help MULTIPLE times (typical but strange). While I'm in line to pay, who I assume is the manage walks over and starts to watch my Fiance and I, and listen to our conversation. We over hear her say something about calling security and chalk it up to someone doing something dumb during the pre-holiday season. She then pulls aside the sales associate that was following us around, and begins asking her what she "saw," the manage then proceeds to come over to us, holding up the line since it was our turn to pay and there were people behind us, and says that "she knows my fiance didn't steal anything, but an "anonymous" tip was given that "another shopper" saw him put something in his pocket. She also insisted that someone MUST be following us and playing a practical joke" he then proceeds to out-turn each of his pockets and absolute disbelief. We proceed to pay for the items I went to get and leave, while the manage watches us the entire way. Completely disappointed with Sephora today, I understand the busy holiday season and loss prevention but seriously??? Holding up the line to ask us in front of a busy store if we had shoplifted something, and then try to play off your sales associates mistake and spin some story about an anonymous tip from another shopper, after we watched and heard you ask her what she had "seen". Come on Sephora, I think its time to hire...
Read moreI went in to get more of a product that this Sephora didnât have and was redirected to a different line that had something comparable (in this case foundation)... I communicated that I travel for work every week over to the east cost so I like when itâs put on all over my face to be sure I like the feel and look because the âneck swabâ isnât the âgame dayâ feel and itâs hard for me to make the mall trips happen as sometimes I only have 12 hours at home and I donât want to spend it returning something .. so today she put it on (very very nice gal) but slapped it on in 2 seconds and sent me on my way... the experience was half hearted and it wasnât even busy in the store, so there is no reason why I couldnât have been given the time to make sure I was happy with A) and introduction to a new line B) the look. The last time I came in the gal spent her time with me and I walked out with 230+ dollars worth of new product because she made me feel pretty with nice product. Sephora has the upper hand due to the variety of product and has options for everyone, but I feel could step it up in customer service and coming from sales, the up selling is a no brainer in your industry and people walk in with money to spend and making them look good will always have a good outcome. Yes there are the people who take advantage but itâs not your job to decide who gets your time and who doesnât because sometimes peopleâs wallets could surprise...
Read moreThe customer service was exceptional! I was helped by Emily, who did not ask me to leave a review by the way, she really was just that great! She was so KIND and it felt like she genuinely cared and was excited to help me find what foundation fits my needs best. She was knowledgeable and patient, she was also so sweet about putting makeup on my cheek while I had my 12 month old son in hand not making it super easy. After she let me try the foundation I thought I would like but didn't, she had me try a foundation she thought would be best for me and she nailed it. I searched Sephora reviews, so I could leave one, and then I read through some of their previous ones. I found that MULTIPLE other people have mentioned Emily by name, and had the same wonderful experience as I did! I am not sure how their pay works, I believe they get some commission for sales on top of their pay...but that is simply not enough for the level of customer service she gave. I hope she has a performance review and gets a significant raise or bonus, because she was better than any other employee in the building and deserves it. I will be returning to Sephora, after years of not going because of bad experiences, and it is ONLY because of her help that I will...
