Chibi Claws — Attraction in Garden Grove

Staying at Great Wolf Lodge and saw that Chibi Claws was a 5-minute walk from my room. Upon entering, I noticed how spacious this arcade is. I took a look around to see if there were any plushies my son would like since I went by myself. Hop greeted me and was so patient and kind. She repositioned most of the machines for the guests and was always happy to help with a smile. Hop made the experience amazing! I was able to win 9 plushies. I traded in a few for plushies my son wanted and then traded in 2 for the future. The only disheartening part of the experience is getting the plushy and then seeing it bounce out of the drop box on the way down when you think you've got it. After it happening 3 times in a row, I realized it could happen at every machine. I still had a good time and just didn't get my hopes up until the plushy was in my hands. Haha. The machines let you control when the claw closes so do not double press the button until you are ready. Position the claw with the joystick, press the button to drop the claw, and when it gets down just right, press the button to close the claw for your best chance. During our recent trip to Disneyland, we discovered Chibi Claws online and decided to stop by—and we're so glad we did! This charming claw machine arcade was a hit with our whole family. Our three daughters (12, 8, and 2 years old) had an absolute blast. The space is bright, clean, and filled with adorable plushies in every machine. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of love into the place.

What really made the experience stand out was the friendly and helpful staff. They were patient with our little one and even offered tips to help the older girls win their favorites. My husband and I couldn’t resist joining in and ended up winning a few plushies of our own! It was a great way to relax, laugh, and enjoy some family-friendly fun together.

A unique feature we loved was the ability to trade in plushies for different or bigger ones—perfect for picky kids (and adults). We were actually headed to another spot when my daughters suddenly freaked out after spotting ChibiClaw. Apparently, they’d seen places like this online and were beyond excited. After a chorus of “please, please, please,” I gave in and we decided to check it out—and I’m so glad we did.

The concept itself is super unique and fun, but what really stood out to me was the atmosphere and the people. Brian, one of the staff members, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to give my daughters tons of tips and encouragement while they played for plushies. I was told that this is a family-owned business. You can tell by the extra care and positive energy which made the whole experience feel special.

What started as a quick stop turned into a highlight of our day—and now, visiting ChibiClaw has officially become a must whenever we’re in the area.
