I was so excited on Friday (my birthday) when I found out Gardena Woman’s Sauna was opening again. I booked an appointment for Monday (today).
When I arrived I had asked if I needed to wear my mask in the spa area as other spas were letting you remove it. I was told yes. Okay. No problem. But then I noticed other guests weren’t wearing them. Plenty of employees around to see. I placed my shoes in my locker. There happened to be a pair on the floor near me, not sure who they belonged to.
Undressed in the locker room the front desk chases me down and says you need to pay $95. Okay. It would have been nice to have been asked upon arrival rather being harassed when I am undressed and ready to go into the spa area. While I am standing there naked waiting for her to bring me my card back another employee starts yelling at me about the shoes next to me that aren’t mine.
I finally get my card back and head into the spa. No guests are wearing masks but I am told 3 times that I must wear mine. I have no issue following policy but why was I being chosen to be the only customer to follow the rules.
I walk into the spa and immediately an employee is so close to me yelling at me to take a shower. This is not my first time to the spa and I was well aware that was my first step but to have someone hovering over you insisting you do it before you have had a moment to put your things down.
I decided I felt uncomfortable, told them I wanted a refund and left. I’ll go to Crystal or Wi Spa. Gardena Women’s Sauna is not relaxing...
Read moreI recently visited this Korean spa for the first time, and I was pretty impressed. The lady at the front noticed it was my first time and took the time to show me around, explain the rules, and tell me what to do. She was super helpful!
I really liked that this is a women-only spa. The spa has two floors. The first floor is where the locker rooms and wet area are. In the wet area, you’re naked, which is normal for Korean spas. There are hot, warm, cold, and salt tubs, and I loved the temperature of all the tubs. I’m super picky about water temps, and this place nailed it. The hot tub is actually hot, and the cold tub is icy cold. I’ve been to a Korean spa in Torrance, and I was a bit disappointed because the hot tub there was just lukewarm, and the cold tub wasn’t cold enough. This place got it just right.
The second floor has a common area, a salt room, a jade room, a mud room, and even a sleeping room. They will give you a robe, and you have to wear it before heading upstairs. This was a new experience for me, as other spas usually offer cloths to wear.
I went on a Saturday evening, and the place wasn’t crowded at all, which was nice. It was quiet and super clean. This spa has definitely become my new favorite, and I’ll be returning for sure!
If you’re looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating experience, this is the place to go....

I’ve been coming to Gardena Woman Sauna spa for nearly 15 years, and it is truly one of Los Angeles’ best-kept secrets. The service is always exceptional — clean, professional, and rejuvenating from the moment you walk in.
My massage therapist, Vivian, is absolutely incredible. She has a rare gift for understanding the body and knowing exactly where to focus. Whether it’s deep, therapeutic pressure or a relaxing Swedish style, she delivers every single time. I usually get the combination massage, and I leave feeling brand new — balanced, refreshed, and ready to take on the world.
Vivian is truly top-tier — her work is worth every penny (plus a well-deserved generous tip). I honestly don’t think you could find this level of care and skill even in Beverly Hills. If you’re looking for real healing and professional excellence, this spa — and especially Vivian — is an absolute...
