This place is amazing. Truly. Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon and it wasn’t even to busy. They had two documentaries and we picked one about hurricanes and honestly— worth the extra $5. They have an amazing gift shop and the elder woman who worked there were funny and kind. We had allot of fun. All the facts about hurricanes and the coast guard were truly amazing. Knowing everything our coast guard has done to save lives, knowing all the ships that have been lost on the Columbia and seeing the ships were amazing. A part of the tour was going on a ship actually docked in the back. 29 years this ship was used to help save lives and if you buy a pass to the museum you get to go out back and take a tour of the actual ship! I will always recommend this amazing museum. I’m just impressed with the professionalism and the cleanliness.

This was a great historical visit to learn about the town of Garibaldi. Pros • Self-guided • Ability to learn at your own pace • Kids’ Corner for kids to play and learn a bit of history with the toys in the play area Cons • Nothing to share, it was a great experience to learn about the town’s history • Great for history lovers to explore and learn Overall • It’s a great small pocket of history to visit with the family

Spent time here after a short but fun train ride from Rockaway beach. If you don’t take the immediate return ride and pair the museum with lunch you’ll have enough to do in the two hours or so before the...
