This is a charming store that offers more than Myrtlewood items. This can be a disadvantage; however, Myrtlewood is rare and very costly. It is a beautiful light-colored hard wood from myrtle trees grown only in a few locations in the U.S., mostly in Oregon. The items in the Myrtlewood Factory Outlet are fun and diverse-- from glass items, creatures made from coral, wooden wind chimes and t-shirts to glass. Sadly only 1/4th of what's here is Myrtle wood. There is a lot to look at here and it deserves a look. Of all the Myrtlewood items I purchased two small cars which were very beautiful in their simplicity. I would have liked to have walked out of this store with a greater knowledge of Myrtlewood and if I could give any advice to the owners, it would be to create a small display that explains all about Myrtlewood. If you like Crystal's, geodes and such they have an assortment of rocks for sale- my favorite would be the bookends or the ones that have been carved out for a candle to fit in( when lit the rock has even more beautiful characteristics.
