The Distillery — Attraction in Garner

The Distillery was the second wedding venue we toured and we knew immediately it was the place for our daughter’s spring wedding. The venue itself is breathtaking – every single detail (even the sitting area in the ladies room) is amazing. From the ceremony space, to bar and dance floor it was exactly what my daughter and her fiancé were looking in an indoor space for a large wedding that would still feel intimate. The open white space juxtaposed by the industrial touches are so unique and allows the couple to really design the space for their needs. The venue provides a good number of items with the rental – tables, chairs, cocktail tables, easels, etc. and for other rentals, (i.e. linens, plates, glassware, flatware), they worked closely with us to ensure we had everything we needed. Any question we had in the 11 month planning process was quickly answered and our coordinator Janna was simply the best in keeping everything and everyone on track. The owner Chad is very hands on and was there for so many meetings and the big day itself. They made it a fun process and our daughter feel very special as the bride. They love what they do and are an incredible team!

The day of the wedding the bridal party arrived to a beautiful bridal suite stocked with treats and the Distillery’s wedding team already hard at work. I am sure there were last minute issues and emergencies but we never knew it. They flawlessly executed a full room flip from ceremony space to dinner for 170 during cocktail hour with the other vendors. I am still blown away at how much we were able to soak up the entire day and enjoy every moment – it was perfect. Everything the bride and groom had planned went off without a hitch and all the guests had an amazing time. My husband and I got married at the Distillery on September 3, and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made! When I had toured the venue with Chad, it was apparent that he thought of everything when it came to designing the functionality of the venue. I could tell he had a lot of experience, and other vendors continued to confirm this to me once I told them that I booked with the Distillery. So many of my vendors told me that the venue and the team were phenomenal. And they were 100% right! The venue itself is so versatile. I knew I wanted something that was more clean, modern, and light. Everything from the bathrooms to the bridal suite to the outdoor patio was very thoughtful and simple but effective. Even the scents in the bridal suite were amazing! And the large windows provide plenty of natural lighting. I originally wanted a venue with an outdoor ceremony space, but I am soooo glad that my husband and I decided to have an indoor wedding (hello humidity) but still able to take plenty of pictures out on the beautiful green space and patio! The team flipped the ceremony into the reception in a crazy short amount of time! We had around 100 guests and they spread out the tables where the reception space felt full, but you could tell that you could have a larger guest count without it being a problem. The Distillery provides plenty of table and chair rentals which was great. The location was perfect in that it's surprisingly close to downtown Raleigh and the airport, which worked out for all our guests coming in from out of town who needed to use ubers. My fiancé and I fell in love with the venue space immediately when searching for our perfect venue. So of course, we booked a tour! Although we ultimately went with another venue (ONLY because we settled on a different city) I have to leave a review to let you know our experience! From the moment we walked in and were greeted, Chad made us feel welcomed and heard. He took the time to get to know us, what we wanted, answer the endless amounts of questions we had, and even offered alternatives for our tight budget. He provided us with the BEST wedding venue tour we took, and we went on SEVERAL. He never made us feel cheap for our budget and was honest with expectations. Had we chosen to get married in the Raleigh area, The Distillary was our first pick. He made us feel confident that everything would be taken care of. My fiancé and I left knowing Chad had a true passion for his work. Even after the tour he followed up and was patience with us while we made our venue decision. I am extremely indecisive and admitably was avoiding my inbox as I have several venue and vendor outreaches at this point and we still didn't have a venue or date. His outreaches never went unnoticed as him and his venue were always top of mind. His detailed responses and follow ups show me his attention to detail and organization.
