This is a big, new, flagship HEB. It is very well built and designed and includes a large barbecue restaurant and extensive curbside pickup. It has an exciting and fresh vibe and definitely shows to be a much-needed edition to the rapidly growing Georgetown area .
The car wash and gas pumps are out in front pretty far away from the parking for the grocery store also, this makes it feel bigger.
The other thing I will say about this new HEB, is that the staffing is amazing. HEB always has great employees and an incredibly friendly and helpful attitude. This store is loaded to the brim with people working there to make sure the new opening goes smoothly. If you are reading this later in history, do not worry, HEB is always well staffed and well run.
The layout of the store is very friendly and they have a huge selection of a lot of items. I've included pictures of the men's deodorant and antiperspirant section. It's literally 20 ft long. The pet food selection is also amazing. They have frozen and specialty foods along with raw goat milk and other things that are vital for certain times in a dog's life. The pharmacy is on the front right and well marked with a entrance and double drive-thru lanes.
One other thing, all of the checkout lanes and all of the self checkout lanes are open right now and they have a large amount of both. This is one thing I really appreciate about HEB also, they usually are well staffed in the cashier department and self checkout is usually well run also.
Anyway, as I stated before, this is a beautiful new facility and will serve Georgetown well for many years to come! Well done HEB...
Read moreClearly Texas is lacking basic comprehension skill sets, made only more evident when the kids working at the curbside struggle with the most basics of tasks. Ask them to avoid putting the gallon water jugs on the bread and eggs and their whole world comes crashing down. Yet this state continues to push for removal of basic education comprehension levels. How will your unskilled labor force keep up when it's already struggling so much now. The curbside is always a drastic wait. They allow over booking for time slots to the point you cannot find a parking space and spend 10 minutes waiting at least with your hazards on along the side of the road. Once you do get in to a spot it is a 20 minute wait at minimum. Today I arrived at 5:18 for my 5pm-5:30 time slot. And I did feel bad for being so late but due to a traffic jam on 35 I sat at a light for 6 turns before being able to turn into HEB. I didn't get my groceries until 5:58pm. While numerous workers were walking around glued to their handheld devices and moving like pond water cars continued to pile up. Whoever is managing this curbside at this HEB clearly is in over their head and should re evaluate what success looks like. Then to get home and discover multiple items missing, the produce rotting in the bag, and the deli meat almost grey. I'll just take my chances driving into Round Rock to...

If you schedule during a busy time (which there seems to be a lot of), then expect to wait 30-45 minutes, if you can find a pickup spot to park in - there is often a line of cars waiting for a spot to open up, when it's busy. If you schedule during a not so busy time, then you can still expect to wait 15-20 minutes for your order. It's also not uncommon for them to miss items or give you items you didn't order, but this happens other places too.
I recognize that it's very much a first world problem to complain about someone else shopping for your groceries for you, but this store is far and away the most consistently slow HEB, Walmart, or Target I've ever done grocery pickup at, whether it's busy or not.
Not sure how their system works internally, but it seems like they need to limit the amount of people that can do pickup orders in the busier time slots, or limit it further. Also, there must be something they can do to make it faster when there aren't very many cars there, at least to bring it up to par with other HEB locations.
Other than the grocery pickup, I don't really have any problems with the store, but it's bad enough that I've started doing pickups at Walmart whenever I can, which rarely takes longer than 5-10 minutes, no matter...
