What a letdown. First, the cashier that was trying to take my order kept wandering off to do other things...WHILE I WAS TRYING TO ORDER. Always take care of the customer that is standing in front of you. I ordered a two meat plate with brisket, and a "Texas Torpedo" which is a jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese, brisket, and wrapped in a sausage. This is listed under "meat", on their menu, but I was charged another $2.75, but wasn't told until after looking at my receipt, and asking about it. My total, for a two meat plate and a drink was $22.72. When the food arrived, the brisket was dry, and there were two slices. The Texas Torpedo was tough to cut with the plastic utensils they give you. Probably because it was overcooked. They give you large sides, probably to make up for the fact that the meat portion is so small. The best thing on the plate, was the Mac and cheese. Very disappointing place. For this price I could have gone to many other BBQ places and gotten better quality food. Stay away unless you like high prices and mediocre food

I recently ate at this restaurant two times. First time I got a two meat plate with brisket and turkey, Aunt potato salad and brisket beans. The second time I got pulled pork sandwich and potato salad. And I have to say both times the food was excellent. My dad also really loved the turkey so we'll definitely be back for that again. The only issue that I have generally is they don't give you as much meat as some other local barbecues for about the same price. To be honest, the amount of meat that they gave you was plenty for me. But if you're a big eater, you may be disappointed by the portion sizes here. They generally give a quarter pound but they have rules that state that they cannot give less than that. So usually you'll get a little bit more. But at another barbecue place I ate at nearby I could get about twice as much meat for the same price.

BBQ in HEB? BBQ by HEB? After my first meal here, Wow. I am completely impressed. Not just that it’s HEB BBQ but because it’s so damn good. I’m a self-admittedly a BBQ snob. I used to love Rudy’s in Round Rock and then Tony C ruined it. So, off to Terry Black’s we go every now and then. If you know, you know. Let me tell you, this BBQ is equally impressive as Mr. Terry’s sons are cooking. The brisket is amazing. The ribs ah-maizing. But wow, that Turkey. Such a delicious moist and flavorful piece of meat. Don’t pass it up. Sides? We were able to taste all of them. In order of deliciousness: Mac & Cheese, Cream Corn, and Collard Greens. I wasn’t impressed with the others. The Coleslaw was a bit odd. Probably won’t get that again. Can’t wait to come back here again. This will be our spot. A bit pricy, like all BBQ these days, but totally worth it.

We had a dinner here and liked the food that we ordered barbecue for hosting dinner with friends. We ordered sausage, burnt ends, ribs, and the sides. The event was on a rainy Friday afternoon and the traffic was bad when we picked up the order. We found out that the bbq sauces were missing and it was getting close to dinner time. The store was not able to help us get it delivered. So another trip to the place in the rain and the rush hour traffic made it stressful. We had generic bottled barbecue sauce ready to serve as the guests arrived. We talked to the manager Jared who has offered us to refund part of the order but we were too busy getting ready for guests. I called him the next day to share our experience and how it was not as smooth as we planned the dinner to be. I told him that we were hoping that this place could be our go-to place for dinners and parties but we're not happy with the experience. He said he wanted to make up for it and he refunded the whole amount of our order. We re surprised and so happy with the offer that we like to share how this gesture will keep us loyal...

Bbq and sides were great and fairly priced, but service was lacking. Not sure who helped us but I ordered here on 8/17/2025 at 1:57 pm. The two women working clearly did NOT want to be there. When we picked up our food, I only had one side for my two meat plate. Upon asking I learned they were out of collard greens which is too bad. I was offered a second side which is fine, but I would not know that had I not asked. They said nothing and were about to rip me off on a side. I also got barely any pickles and onions. I requested bread when ordering and that was not provided either until I asked. They should put the condiments over the counter along with the sauces and drinks if it is so difficult for the employees to provide them. Very sad because I historically had a positive experience with TTBBQ, so I brought my wife to try it, and this is the first impression they want to conduct. If that is the way they choose to do business, so be...
