I love Macy's but this location has terrible customer service. I always go out of my way to shop at Scottsdale Fashion Square location because they have better selection and their customer service is 100x better than this store. I bought a gorgeous blouse at Scottsdale Fashion Square end of June that was full price (I always wait for sales). The sales associate said you can save your tags and receipt and wait for it to go on sale and you can return for the sales price adjustment. I have been eyeing this item and it finally went on sale! I called Macy's customer service to ask if I could do transaction over phone or what I needed to do, she said bring receipt, tags to store and they will adjust. San Tan Village is minutes from my house so I went there. While waiting in line, the handicapped woman in front of me was dealing with the cashier and she had accidentally brought the wrong size to the register. The cashier was rude and said, you're gonna have to go get the right size and then continued to talk with a customer (friend?) she obviously knew. This elderly woman sighed and mumbled something obviously out of distress and hobbled off on her cane, clearly struggling. It was pathetic. Any customer service rep in Scottsdale would have gotten the right size for her. I went to another cashier because that rude cashier didnt even acknowledge me just kept chatting away with her friend (other customer). This new cashier in the Jr. Dept. being inconvenienced with my request said "Sorry, we can't help you, its past 14 days. After telling her that the cashier who sold me the shirt assured me I could return anytime if it went on sale and get the adjusted price and I called to make sure before I made the trip, then she says, ok, lets do it manually, obviously annoyed. Read moreWent to Macy’s to look for a dress to wear to my cousin's wedding. Found a dress online and asked the associate if they have it in stock in the store. She said right away no we don’t have it. I asked her if she can check and she said I know we don’t have that dress here. She said I can order it online and I told her that I want to try the dress on before buying it. She then offered to check another Macy’s to see if they have it in stock. I said no that’s ok, I’ll keep looking around. I noticed she looked me up and down in what I was wearing as I walked away from the counter. About 10 minutes after looking around at dresses, I ended up asking her when she has time if she can check another store, she said yes. Asked for the web ID which I told her, then she asked what size. I told her a 14, maybe a 12 because I thought sometimes some clothes can fit different. She said not a 12, I can tell you not a 12, looking at my body. I then tuned out most of the conversation because I couldn’t believe the audacity and unprofessionalism that came from her. I remember her telling my husband no other Macy’s store in the area has that dress and I can order it. I walked away while she was still talking because of how upset and then how angry I was. We talked to Matt the store manager and told him what happened. I hope this woman gets the talking to that she deserves because I think that’s all HR will probably do. Read moreI am beyond furious with their customer service. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company.the customer service is utterly incompetent, and completely incapable of resolving even the simplest issues. It’s unacceptable.
I made four purchases, and every single one has been a disaster:
My first order hasn’t arrived, and it’s stuck with USPS for no apparent reason. No one from your team has offered any real help or explanation. I needed to change my billing address, but despite reaching out for assistance, I was completely ignored. One of my orders was canceled, yet I’m still being charged for it. I’ve contacted you repeatedly about this, and no one is doing anything to fix it. A representative told me my order had been canceled, but now I’ve received a notification that it shipped. So not only is your service useless, but it seems your team has no problem outright lying to customers.
Now, I’m stuck waiting for an order I didn’t even want, just so I can return it whenever it finally shows up—if it ever does. The level of incompetence and dishonesty I’ve dealt with is staggering.
This is, without a doubt, the worst app and customer service I’ve ever encountered. I’m done. I will be deleting your app, blocking your company from all communication, and making sure everyone I know avoids doing business with you.
