Brown's Bargain Barn is an awesome place to shop. The inventory is constantly changing. There's always new exciting merchandise and sales. When you see somthing you want, you better buy it quick because it probably won't be there the next day. You cannot beat the prices. I shop here for my child's school fundraisers. They are raising money for a new school to be built, so they have fundraisers all year. Not only was I able to buy so many things at great prices, but Joe the nicest guy you can meet, made a big donation of items to our school. On top of that he gave us an even greater deal on top of the already low prices, on a bunch of things we were buying for our fundraisers. Not only is Joe a very nice and humble store owner, but everyone that works there, is incredibly friendly and always quick to help you, with whatever you need. The store is clean and prices are posted on everything, not in the bins. The bins here are SO MUCH BETTER, than any bin store you will go to. There's always new name brand items, along with tons of new fun surprises. Every day the prices of the bins goes even lower. They are open Saturday through Tuesday. They are closed Wednesday through Friday to restock. Honestly I don't know how they are able to buy, restock, price, and keep the store clean in such a short amount of time! But every Saturday like magic the store is full of great new things to buy. I highly recommend shopping at Browns...
Read moreAbout one month ago, I purchased a pair of Apple AirPod Pro GEN 2 for $30. I thought this was the buy of the year, however I should have known better.
I just got around hooking them up a couple days ago and noticed something was a little bit off with them, but paid little attention to it.
After using them for about a week, I determined they were not comfortable for my ears, and decided to sell them at a local exchange. I figured I’d get my money back since they sell for over $200 new.
I brought them in and was denied selling them, as they were deemed to be counterfeit. I questioned the gentleman what his determination was as they were in a sealed box when I purchased them.
He said the weight of the EarPods were less than what they’re supposed to be. The buds weighed in at just over 3 grams each whereas real ones weigh in at over 5 grams each. I even weighed them myself when I got home to confirm this. Also, the serial number on the box does not match the serial number on the pods.
I also purchased a Gerber pocket knife the same day. When I opened up the box, there were significant spelling errors on the registration card. I immediately knew the knife was counterfeit.
I’d caution anyone from purchasing items as such from here and suggest the owner do a better job in being transparent.
Believe then old adage where if it’s too good to be true, it...
Read moreThis store is a good consignment reseller thrift store that does have good deals and bargains. To get the good deals, you must be there before they open; at 9 am. This could mean you may have to get in line extra early to be 1st in line. I have and others as well have been in line well before 3am to secure a spot, Their downfall that I have noticed and experienced is they allow their 1st in line customers to solicit others who may have shown up 1 hour, even 15 minutes before opening to shop and purchase deal items that others who could have been in line say at 3:30am, now have missed out on. And for the little girl to try to flex like she was hurting someone for literally a $5 item. So just be aware, it really doesn't matter what time you get there, you just have to solicit the 1st in line and work out a deal. It wasn't the value of the item, It's principle. I did speak with the owner who said he would work on a solution to this issue....
