We were visiting family and needed to find a place for my kids to let out some energy. There’s two entrances opposite each other (FYI if you have little who are runners- one is open and right on a busy road but the actual playground is set further back from the road so you have some time to notice and catch them). The play structures were creative and fun and over a soft surface and there’s plenty of shade from trees. There’s also a separate section of workout/exercise structures for adults. I noticed bathrooms but we didn’t use them.

This is a clean and well kept park if you need a place to take kids to left out some energy. One thing that is nice about this park is the amount of shade it has which is nice and helps keep the playground equipment cool. This park is located near several hotels which makes it great for families that are vacationing in the area. We used the park several times to get the wiggles out of the kids before heading in for quite time.

Great park in Glendale. It has a large play area as well as a set of weight machines. Everything was clean, and the play area was full of climbing areas! The bathroom facilities were clean and nice. There are large grassy areas as well as scattered picnic tables. Easy free street parking.

The city facilities personnel keep the park as clean as they can, but there are many vagrants who make this location their daily camp and dumping ground. After a long week- end, humans will have left all manner of rubbish, overflowing the waste bins, but by mid - day in the first day of the week, the parks crew will have things nearly pristine again. As of April 2017, they recently re-did the playground wood chips. Unfortunately, despite Glendale and LA County leash laws, lots of people let their dogs illegally off-leash, and though the parks department supplies pet waste bags, there will be occasional droppings in the grass. Fine for passing through, but I never feel inspired or clean...

I got my kids food from In N Out and instead of eating inside and having our sensory system blasted by neon lights and the rumble of hungry masses, we chose to eat our fires in the park. I was happy to see a few homeless people having a safe place to exist in the park. It’s always a good moment to stop and explain to my kids that we are all humans and deserving of dignity and love despite our economic status. Seeing homeless people is also a good signal for me and my kids to stop and reflect on how grateful we should be for all that we have.
