Glenridge Inn Glendale Pasadena — Hotel in Glendale

I stayed at property in Oct 2023 had a clean room and wonderful customer service. My stay in Nov 2023 was completely opposite. Upon my arrival I noticed the room had a weird smell right away. Due to the great customer service my first visit I wasn’t worried and decided to address upon my return (I was pressed for time). I returned from my event and documented my issues( DIRTY WALLS, PEELING FURNITURE, BAD SMELL, the attempt to mask the smell was placing an air freshener on the inside of the A/C unit, DIRTY FURNITURE, DIRTY BATHROOM seen what appears to be mold) I went to the office and no one was there I only seen a no vacany sign on the window. I stayed in a family members room for the night. Next day went to desk to inform staff and this is where I realized I was completely wrong about the property. I explained to the gentleman all the issues in the room and showed him all of the pictures. He said I couldn’t have a refund. I said if I couldn’t have a refund I should at least get half my money back, considering the conditions of the room and I didn’t sleep in the room (they can verify I left the room with all my belongings through the property security cameras). I became upset and then a lady came out apparently upset because I was upset about not being compensated for a dirty room I didn’t sleep in. She said I waited to long to tell them there were issues in the room. I said I had an event to get to and used the room all of an hour. Her reply was you used the room for an hour. So I said I’m being charged full price for basically changing my clothes in a dirty room and she replied yes. There was no care or concern for me as a customer. I planned to be a repeat customer, I will never stay at this...

The good: friendly service check in and check out was easy late check in (9pm) and early (4am) check out was easy (I would give them a heads up though) parking was convenient and on site free parking parking lot had ample room for full sized SUVs and trucks parking lot also, of course, had disability parking spots price point was nice location is awesome food locations surrounding the area or you could drive just only a bit to get to food places close to the Freeway iron, hairdryer, lotion, conditioner, shampoo, and soap were provided

The bad: shower drain was clogged toilet didn't really flush well don't know if they really change the linens AC was noisy

Altogether, it's not a bad place to relax in. The bed was firm so I'm not sure if anyone can relax and lay on it comfortably but I slept well. It's not too far from the Rose Bowl and it's not too far from Old Pasadena. Few shopping places and bars minutes away from property as well if you care much about it. It's good enough for how much I paid although the shower drain issue was...

The Glenridge Inn is typical motel, family run , well maintained, very clean and comfortable. We have been there four days and are very satisfied. Beds are comfortable with a size adequate for two people, space in the room was enough for three people without stepping on each other’s toes. Three is no noise from the street, but if you are on the ground floor you may hear noise from the room above you. The room has a microwave, a larger fridge than average for hotels, ironing board and iron. There is ample parking in the motel lot, we never had a problem finding a spot, even if the venue was full. The location is perfect, very close to freeway 134 and 2, 5 minutes from Pasadena and twenty minutes from downtown LA. There is always somebody available at the reception and the location is video surveiled, we had a feeling of being safe. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
