We are an avid customer of Seafood City wherever we go, either Vegas, Canada or Los Angeles until TODAY -- me and my entire family were all dismayed for this 3rd incident. We thought that the 1st two incidents were just an honest mistakes by the staff who works behind the the kitchen area. This afternoon was the 3rd incident. I personally picked 1 milkfish which is half frozen and FIRM then, I asked them to cut and clean it then eventually I went to the counter and paid all the items in my bag. I brought my grocery in my car and kept the fish inside my red thermal freezer bag then, I went home straight from Seafood City. When I transfer the fish from the red plastic to the black plastic container as I wanted to wash and sprinkle some salt, I noticed that the fish has mushy texture and slimy skin (please see attached photo). The fish looks like it was brutally beaten and has broken fins. I was so disappointed of what kind of fish I brought home compare to the fish that I originally picked from Seafood City. Seemingly, the fish that i originally picked was switched to the old mushy fish!!!! I doubt that thai is the dish that I chose from their store!!! WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE (Free- cleaning) of this store. Please be fair and just!!!! To ALL, if you can cut and clean your own fish, please do! Clean the fish that you bought otherwise, you'll end up like me, bringing home their fish that is already old and mushy!!!...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of shopping at a Filipino supermarket known as SEAFOOD CITY and was stoked by the freshness and variety of the produce and seafood on offer. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted with the sights and smells of an incredible array of fruits and vegetables, all of which were perfectly ripe and bursting with flavor. The selection of seafood was equally impressive, with a wide range of fresh catches available, including several types of fish, shrimp, and shellfish.
I was particularly impressed with the quality of the produce, which was consistently fresh and fragrant. The selection was vast, and I was able to find all of the ingredients I needed for my favorite Filipino dishes, including ripe mangoes, fragrant herbs, and crisp vegetables. The seafood selection was also top-notch, with a wide range of options available, including both local and imported catches.
The store itself was clean and well-organized, making it easy to find everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they were more than happy to answer any questions I had about the products on offer. Overall, I had a fantastic shopping experience at this Filipino supermarket and will definitely be returning in the future. If you're looking for fresh, high-quality produce and seafood, this is the...
Read morePretty good selection of Phillipino, Japanese and Southeast Asian foods. Good choice of produce and meats. Hard to find and specialty meats are abundant here: ox tail, beef blood, pork brains, chicken feet, etc. You name it they have it. Also if you're looking for good quality steak, this is not the place. They simply don't bother with those cuts.
Of course you come here for the seafood and the selection does not disappoint. Huge variety and always fresh. Pick your fish and take it to the counter. They'll clean and package it for you. The absolute best choice for noodles (rice, egg, buckwheat, udon, chow mein, etc) both fresh and dry.
Lines could be a little slower sometimes due to old style checkout counters but that only adds character imho. Moving around the store is a real hustle sometimes. Please stop putting merchandise displays in the aisles, they are tiny as it is.
Personal favorites: Nuri sardines, lengua da gato and...
