UPDATE: SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!! Yet I was told it falls under folding chair prohibited items!!!! There are countless videos like these online! They made me take mine back to the hotel!
Spoke with yet another person from the Disney staff and nothing was resolved. The same rhetoric. No compensation for the tickets that I paid for and was refused an item that could help me in the parks when I saw countless videos of guests including a cast member who had one as well. There was no resolution. This isn’t the happiest place on earth when people won’t even rectify a situation that happened, care about their guests, compensate them or fix this in some kind of way. (??) My days were ruined and I literally cried in the park. I texted family members to let them know what was going on each day! The problem I have is I was told no, while so many others were allowed to have theirs! Including in Disney World Parks as well. Unfortunate. Very unfortunate!
I feel as though I was discriminated against this past week at Disneyland. I’m 55 yrs old. I needed my portable stool with me so that I could enjoy the parks and get in line for my favorite rides. Some of which do not take lightening lane passes. I was told by security that I couldn’t have my stool in the parks without any good explanation I just couldn’t I was told. This was not on the website or policy. I called and spoke with an employee of Disney and a supervisor of Disney and they both agreed with security and stated that it fell under folding chairs on the prohibited items. This isn’t true because other people did have stools there which was one of the reasons I bought one so that I could have mine. I saw it on YouTube first that someone had theirs there. Then after speaking with all of these people I found countless videos on Tik Tok where guests had the same exact stool as mine in lines. They all were either Caucasian or Asian. Even a cast member had one. Then I saw more videos of people in Disney World with the stools as well. 4 or 5 in one line and they all were Caucasian. I’m disappointed in Disneyland! My family and I come there every year. My daughters are content creators themselves and promote Disney all the time! I was in pain for 3 days straight. I couldn’t even enjoy the parks that we just paid thousands of dollars to get into and enjoy. Unbelievable!!!! 😞
I did send emails to guest services to let them know about the videos that I’ve seen online and that I feel it’s clear discrimination. I’m waiting to hear back. The fact that the employees just dismissed me. SMH! Definitely NOT the happiest...
