Look let's get a few things ironed out really fast. This review is only on the skate park rules and reality of the park. Sure scooters and bikes are not technically allowed. Does the ranger ask them to leave? Yes, does he actually give them tickets. On the rare occasion you show no respect yeah. they are nice guys and don't really want to kick you out and expect you to come back after they drive off haha But when this park was made and cleared by the city it was only permitted to have skateboards and skates. Because of this until the park requires tlc and refinishing (est 2035) the legal zoning for the park have the possibility to be updated with the city to allow bikes, so they have to tell you to leave, they dont want to. Sometimes they dont even come in the park, they just talk in the bullhorn and say "no bikes in the park" annnnd gone. the response to amend this was they built a BMX park in glendale if I am not mistaken on location. Do they kick out scooters? No only bikes and motorized vehicles electric or gas. Do we as skaters want the bikers or scooters gone? Mostly no we don't care, park etiquette rules the park if you follow the unspoken rules we will enjoy watching you gap transitions and do backflips whips and whatnots out of the bowl. The main reason this park gets 5 Stars is this. this community we don't have to be the same, we can ignore some rules that no longer suit the community and enjoy the space in harmony and when the ranger comes we remain unified and there is no drama just understanding...
Read moreI've walked by this skatepark several times in the past few weeks and apparently the park has been reopened during the worst ongoing COVID-19 outbreak per capata in the world. The park is packed with kids, the vast majority of which, who do not wear masks or socially distance. The adults who are there supposedly "supervising" do not mask up or distance either for the most part. Every day the City of Glendale is enabling superspreader events and I know because my wife and I have witnessed it many, many times first-hand. It truly is saddening and frankly deeply distressing to see our local government and citizenry exibit such a total disregard for life. Not sure exactly where to report this but I am looking into it. Be advised. Stay away from this park if you have any concern for human welfare and life and make your...
