Unaccommodating to allergies. I can't have spicy pepper and almost all of their lunch items are spicy. I asked if I could have the roll just not spicy and the waiter notified me that it would be a $2.00 upcharge even though on their regular menu a spicy salmon roll is $6.25 and a non spicy salmon roll is $6.50. The food is good and presented nicely. I ended up with the Shrimp Tempura roll lunch special one of the few things that wasn't loaded with siracha and it was decent, like so many places though more cheap shredded fake crab stick than shrimp or avocado. The nigiri were fresh and tasted good. Salmon, red snapper, tuna and a shrimp. The miso was very tasty. The hot green tea was a nice lite green tea that I enjoyed and cost $2.75. It's a shame that this restaurant like several others thinks there somehow saving money by upcharging for a very simple change. The real reason why spicy tuna or spicy salmon etc is used so much is that it's the junk parts of the cheaper fish. Sad really... I would have like to give this place a 4 or better but their greed...
Read moreWent here on Saturday with my brother. I hadn't been here for a couple of years. I usually enjoy my visits. Not this time. I greeted with "YOU must have a reservation!!!" I looked around the restaurant and wasn't a single person there. I explain to the person that was no mention any kind of reservation. She proceeds to argue with me that I looked at the wrong website. I just looked at the woman and said Ok? I was about to leave and she decided to seat us. I notice she wasn't in any kind of hurry. She acted like where a we were an inconvenience. Finally got the food. Food was great. One would think with the pandemic and all the closings they would be more than happy to have us. Huge disappointment. We will be going back to our favorite and their competitor Yen Sushi on...
Read moreHere’s why I gave this place 3 stars. The sushi was not impressive at all. The food wasn’t bad, but had better at lower prices. The service was pretty good until the end. I wanted to hold onto to the sushi menu but the waiter insisted he put it at the adjacent table. Also if you’re reading this, dress the part. I get it you’re a gym rat, but leave the gym attire at home. Wearing tight vented yoga pants, t shirt, and adidas hat. We had to go so I had to bring him the check, he was the only server. When he returned he set the check and my card on the bar about 10 feet away because handing it to me was too much. Lastly this obnoxious sign indicating right of a refusal of service, which newsflash is common knowledge at any business. overall very disappointed in the...
