The Local Sports Grill — Restaurant in Glendale

If you haven’t found your way to The Local yet apart heading there now. What a wonderful local spot to hang out and enjoy a delicious and unique burger or even enjoy some drinks while watching the game with their wonderful inside/outside bar. There is plenty of parking and easily accessible from any direction. We walked in and saw a sign to seat ourselves. The location is large. We were greeted right away with wonderful smiles and a great bartender. She took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. I knew pretty quickly I was going to try the Escobedo Burger which is one of their most popular. We also ordered a chili dog and bone in wings. Everything came out quickly and looked fantastic. The burger was perfect size and I couldn’t wait to try it. When I tell you it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had I mean it. It was juicy, full of flavor with a great kick from the jalepeno. The cheese was the cherry on top. I typically don’t care for crinkle fries, but these were cooked perfectly and crispy. I hate soggy fries. The chili dog looked tasty and topped with a bit of onion, very good. The wings came out about five minutes after our other items and were crispy, flavorful. We really enjoyed them. I was pleased at the selection of sour beers. They were cans, but it’s always plus when I find a location that sells sours. My only wish is if they’d had one on tap here. Maybe in the future. The location was clean and through our entire meal our bartender/server really paid great attention to making sure we were ok and had everything we’d like. I was searching for either sushi or burgers near my doctor and came across The Local that had approx 140 5 star reviews. I came in and was greeted by Eddie the owner…. A really nice guy! He explained a few things on the menu. I ended up getting a Mushroom & Swiss burger. The burgers are half a pound. I could’ve shared it with someone. A few minutes after I ordered it I realized I didn’t tell him that I like my burger medium rare. He came over to me and I told him that and he said they cook the burgers medium well but they’re very juicy and I said OK, I’lI try it. He was right. The burger was delicious and very juicy. I didn’t miss that it wasn’t my usual medium rare. I’m gonna say it was more medium than medium well. He did say that if I wanted it medium rare, I could definitely order it medium rare. But it was fine. It came with crinkle cut fries. Everything was delicious. Even the music was good and Eddie told me that was because they have a jukebox and as long as you Feed the jukebox, it’ll play songs. lol. They also serve brunch but I’m not sure when.
