Since Google only allows one review per person, I am posting this as a response to the reply I received from the clinic. I believe itâs important for potential clients to be fully informed before choosing this facility, as my experience has shown that it is not a place I would recommend.
Thank you for your response. However, I find it disappointing that instead of taking accountability, youâve chosen to shift the blame onto me. I brought Max to you multiple times over the past year, and each time, I trusted your expertise to properly diagnose and treat him. Despite his recurring ear issues, no actual tests were ever performed or even suggested to determine the root cause. Instead, you continuously prescribed temporary treatments without any real effort to find a long-term solution. Whatâs even more frustrating is that there was a test available that could have been doneâeven after his ears cleared upâbut it was never considered. Instead of prioritizing proper diagnosis, you relied on guesswork, leaving us to figure out the real issue on our own.
As for the building conditions, a âwater stainâ does not excuse the overall lack of upkeep that was evident. There were multiple stains on the ceiling, not just one, and they did not look like simple water damage. For the amount of money this clinic brings in from the Goddard community, there should be no excuse for failing to maintain a professional and clean environment.
Regarding Maxâs teeth grinding, this was not simply a behavioral issue he âpicked up,â as you suggested. It was a direct result of his ongoing stomach issuesâsomething that was only resolved after he received medication from another vet, not your clinic. Once again, this highlights the lack of thorough diagnosis and care he received under your treatment.
Whatâs even more alarming is that you accessed my personal records just to respond to my review, despite the fact that I never mentioned my dogâs name. This means you actively searched through private client information to defend yourselves, which is a blatant breach of professionalism. While Kansas may not have explicit laws on veterinary confidentiality, ethical standards set by the Kansas Board of Veterinary Examiners emphasize professionalism, accountability, and client trust. Publicly revealing details from a patient file without consentâespecially in a defensive response to criticismâis highly inappropriate and raises concerns about how securely you handle all client records. Pet owners should never have to worry that their private information will be used against them simply for voicing their...
Read moreHorrible experience! I needed a new Vet for surgeries as my personal Vet has had a stroke and only does home visits now. I was referred by clients so ignored my first impression when I was treated rather coldly by Dr. Koster at initial exam for Cocoa. I scheduled her teeth cleaning and extractions anyway. Never met the Vet that did the surgery. Assumed it was Koster. Wasn't called after the surgery and Cocoa was never inquired about after she went home. Over the next month, 2 more girls came in for spay surgeries. Again, never met the Vet. Cocoa came in for her spay. Never met the Vet. Picked Cocoa up and had questions about her mouth & Vet never came out just passed answers through staff members. Dropped Mimi off for spay while leaving with Cocoa (office would not coordinate my appointments). Next day my son picked up his dog Mimi after spay. He met Dr. Alberg, first time our family laid eyes on that Vet. Turns out he performed ALL of these surgeries without ever introducing himself. He said Mimi was tired and wheezy, and sent home antibiotics (11:30AM). She died a horrible, traumatic death in front of the whole family by 12:15 PM approx. 45 min after being released. We did CPR in the car, rushing her to another Vet but she was dead. He told us to go back to Goddard and show Dr. Alberg how destroyed we all were over her senseless death. We are devastated! The month we spent as patients at this clinic was a huge mistake! The staff is unfriendly, uncaring, and the Vet does not make time to meet owners. No one calls to inform you after a surgery is done. And obviously our last spay was botched, and a healthy dog gave her life because we made a poor choice to go to a clinic where we were not welcomed or cared for in any way. Heartbroken over the loss of our...
Read moreNEVER again. I was hoping to save gas by going here, but instead I end up with unneeded heartbreak.
I took my cat in two weeks ago as she hadn't been acting right for awhile, I'm low on money and had to save up the $60 to take her here! She's been a recluse and drools like no other, slink around n my room and hides in my closet. I paid $60 for a 5-10 minute session and little information, was told she was fine, healthy, some cats just are recluse.' HA. 2 weeks later my gpa hears screaming and goes down to check she's racing around my room, jumping off walls!!! Screaming!!! Crying!!! Writhing in pain!!! Next thing you know... She's dead! Shocker for me to. My little kitten aged 2-3 years IN HER YOUTH died, and not quickly either. Yet she was fine?! I will never trust this place with my FAMILY ever again. I'm devastated, I had wanted to save on gas yet paid $60 for vet care and here we are my baby is dead. Aspen was her name, beautiful little tabby cat, loved to the moon and back, she will not be forgotten. Called and got excuses, bullshit excuses. I don't want excuses, I don't want your fake, 'it's sad when these things happen I'm sorry for your loss.' I want my kitten back! Yet it's to late for that now, I hope you all are happy, my healthy...
