Just absolutely love the H.E.B. Chain and the location in Grandbury has the most helpful and nice staff. All very friendly and with so many interesting products to cook with!!! Always very clean and not usually over crowded even when they are busy because it's very spacious (except some of the display tables near the bakery are very close together could be tight for somebody using a mobility aid!)
The only reason for a 4 star instead of a tooth is because the people that shop for the online orders are very aggressive with their carts,(not speaking to the individuals attitude just the physical movement of the carts) I've almost been hit by several of them turning corners fast with their carts in front of them and had 3 hit me because they simply were not paying attention while moving and simultaneously looking at product on the shelf. (gently no damage done or official complaint filed) I do understand that they required to meet a certain speed and absolutely have been treated well and apologized to very sincerely for all the incidents I have been involved in and it doesn't seem to me like a staffing issue but a training or policy issue. I have never worked for H.E.B. so I can't personally say how they make a "quota" for these employee shoppers to maintain, but I do know they all seem to be trying their hardest, they are all very polite and helpful, but they seem to be very urgently moving to the point of their own and other...
Read moreIt's no exaggeration to say H-E-B is more than just a grocery store; it's a Texas institution. Walking through the doors, you're immediately greeted with a sense of order and abundance. The produce section is a vibrant mosaic of fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables, many of which are locally sourced. Their commitment to Texas farmers is evident and appreciated. The bakery alone is worth the trip, with freshly baked tortillas that are a non-negotiable addition to every cart and a bread selection that rivals any dedicated bake shop. The "That's Smart!" and "Hill Country Fare" private label brands are standout values, offering quality that often surpasses national brands at a fraction of the cost. But H-E-B truly shines in its unique offerings. Where else can you find a perfectly curated selection of Texas craft beers, a stellar variety of salsas and tortilla chips, and an entire section dedicated to their legendary True Texas BBQ? The in-store kitchens, like the one that serves up hot, ready-to-eat meals, are a godsend on busy weeknights. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely seems to enjoy their work, which makes the entire shopping experience a pleasure. H-E-B consistently raises the bar, proving that a grocery store can be a source of community pride and a truly exceptional shopping...
Read moreGranbury HEB- I try each week to stay an HEB customer but it's getting harder and harder. As I come in for my family's groceries, I've noticed more and more of the products we use/need are not being carried anymore and it's causing me to go elsewhere. Here are some examples of the products we love but can't find anymore in your store: Alka-Seltzer soft chews, Uncrustables, Fruschetta gluten- free cheese pizza, Salt lick fire roasted salsa, Boar's Head dill pickles in the cold section, Good Season's Italilan seasoning packets, Gatorade energy chews (NOT on aisle 4!), Brooklyn's Mexican hot cocoa k- cups. It's a LOT. It's frustrating. It's concerning that we can't get the products our family needs like we used to. Why is this? Why, during a pandemic, when people are coming to your store to get in and out quickly, would there be a massive reordering of shelves? Why make it so your customers leave your store and go to another competitor across the street or across town? So, when the friendly cashier asks, "Did you find everything ok?" I'm going to have to say NO. She/He will be aplogetic and since they can't stop and take notes, nothing will change. Someone needs to know that customers walk into your store to find their reliable products and many of us are leaving and talking about all we...
