I visited the evening of 9/23/8 around 7pm. Two female cashiers working that evening were not customer service oriented, did not greet us as we entered the store and instead circled around twice in order to keep an eye on me and my mother as we shopped. One women had very short, bleached blond hair, while the other was shorter in stature with brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. Unfortunately I was not able to take note of their names, as I was quite upset. Both women stepped from behind their registers into the checkout aisle behind them, to maintain line of sight and watch us as we perused the snack aisle. Instead of attending to other customers or doing light cleaning/store maintenance to pass the time between customers, both women intensely watched us the entire time we were in the store and waited for us to approach checkout before they stepped back to their registers to check us out. We were not the only people in the store at this time, however we were the only visible people of color. My visit to this particular Dollar Tree is one of most obvious experiences of racial profiling that I have ever experienced in my 31 years if life. I would NEVER suggest ANYONE, especially people of color ever step foot into this store for fear of discrimination and to avoid being accused of stealing, even if they are a law abiding citizen simply trying to shop and spend their money like everyone else. This Dollar Tree obviously does not respect or appreciate receiving business from people of color. Management and staff would definitely benefit from receiving training pertaining to racial profiling and inherent bias. Take your...
Read moreThis is the second time I have been addressed in a very rude manor from an employee at the Dollar Tree. The first time was when I asked where to return the basket. I was snapped at as if she thought I intended to leave it in the middle of the store. Today when standing at the end of a very long line, two new registrar were opened. We politely let the others that were there first go to the new register first. Then when we got we in line. The employee said we had to go to an open register. Thinking that’s where we were, we got out of line and looked around. She then loudly told us to go to another line that was open. Her tone of voice was abrupt and loud like we were idiots. I will not be returning to that store in the future. If you can’t appreciate that I’m spending money there then I’ll take my business...
Read moreThis store definitely needs a new manager. There's no reason to continuously have an attitude and be rude to your customers and your staff. If you can't be nice to your customers and treat your employees like humanbeings you shouldn't be in a Customer Service Management Position. To be honest I think the only reason why people still shop at this store is because of the employees and not because of their Manager. I feel bad that the employees have to deal with a rude manager. I still have yet to catch her name but they definitely need to fire her and get new management, that's if any of the higher ups in Dollar Tree even read...
