J. Austin & Co. — Attraction in Grants Pass

I usually go to J. Austin for coins and bullion. The other day I was in there and Mark and I got talking about some of the jewelry they had. I was looking for something nice for my wife. What caught my attention though was that they did repairs and sizing. This was fortuitous, because I had a ring I had inherited from my grandfather that was too small for me. Mark said it would be no problem to re-size it for me. Mark knows his diamonds as well. The ring had a small diamond in it, and he was able to answer all of my questions. I left the ring with him, and about a week later he called, the sizing was done. I was impressed with the turn around speed, and the price was better than I had thought. The ring fits great! This place is awesome. I dont know anything about coins, silver, and gold but after one trip to there shop they had educated me on how to tell if a piece is real gold, they were honest about the fact that silver was at an all time low and that they weren't accepting it. And although they weren't interested in purchasing my gems they recommended a couple places to take them. I will definitely be back in the future to sell them silver or gold. Not only did I get a fair price for my silver and gold but I got a little lesson how to tell real from fake when it comes to gold....
