We really enjoyed seeing the exterior and grounds of the early Andrew Johnson house. Unfortunately the interior was not accessible on the day we visited. The ranger did show us pictures of the interior and told us the Johnson Family lived here from the 1830’s until 1851. The house is in a very good state of preservation.

Andrew Johnson’s early home was very beautiful! I enjoyed all of the information it had about his life and learned a lot from it! Definitely check out the visitor center right across the road for more information!

There are actually 3 sites all close together and all worth visiting. The park ranger who gave us the tour of the home was very informative and knowledgeable about Johnson's family.
