Dickinson Avenue Antique Market — Attraction in Greenville

The store itself is great. There is a nice assortment of items and it's organized well enough to see what's on display. We did not appreciate the lack of customer service provided by the fellow behind the counter. We came in and asked if he had what we were in search of and he said they didn't carry anything like that there. But we decided to look around anyway. We found THREE of the items we asked about throughout the displays. There was one unique item we had not seen before so we decided to buy it. We walked up toward the check out, while we were looking through the glass cases in the front, he was sitting down behind the counter and asked if we were ready. I said yes. From his seated position, he pointed at the cash register and continued to sit until I stood directly in front of where he pointed. My hubby asked if we had offended him because he was sensing some sort of bad energy. The fellow said my hubby was wrong, and asked if he was looking for a problem. We ended up leaving what we were going to purchase and walked out. The shop itself is great. That particular fellow is not so great. Based off of him, we will never go there or recommend that shop to...

Very unfriendly older man listening to hard rock music let us in 5 minutes late after opening time seeing us standing outside waiting a while and just unlocked door and walked away without speaking. He actually glared at us for being there and wanting to browse his shop ! First visit and we had driven two hours to show up there to antique on our way to Little Washington for the day. Asked if there was a bathroom and he snarled “ it’s out of order” and I said if we had known no bathroom to use we would have stopped somewhere else ...just very unfriendly and loud music which turned us all off from ever going back there again for sure...sad to see in times of antique shops needing buying customers which we were...won’t...

Was there 10/29/22 and While the place has many items, there is zero atmosphere or personality/joy. I have been at wakes that were more lively. Had a dark feel about it. Actually left there feeling a bit off kilter. The smell would not leave my nostrils! Won’t be back for sure. The man behind the counter was distant. If you want to have great reviews you have to show your passion. Maybe I was there on an off day. But tourist love to see excitement from the places we visit. 3 stars for the amount of inventory however I just made a cicle and left because of the things...
