In response to the owner reply, no Iâm not talking about the carousel Iâm Talking about the little tunnel into the ball pit that SPINS around when the kids crawl through. It spins on its own when going through and your team member found that to be an issue while kids were going through. On top of that, my older kids werenât âplayingâ in the area, she was getting her sisters socks on her when they fell off and would leave right after. Same as if I, as an adult, had the socks on and went in to do the same and came out. And I wasnât walking around inside with no shoes I was at the chair at the entrance sitting there and would call her over to fix them.
This was never an issue prior when it was candeeland so maybe they trained the staff better before or had staff that could use some common sense if someone is assisting with socks and leaving. Who knows, all I know is that youâre going to lose a lot of customers with people who have an attitude like that toward parents who spent $200+ at your establishment. As I stated she was also following a bunch of other little kids around trying to make them leave and at least 2 other parents had to tell her how old their kids were because she clearly had no concept of what a child looks like at 3-4 vs like 6.
OP:
Itâs clean Iâll give it that and it probably could be fun if it wasnât for some of these attendants. The attendants are ANNOYING. I get that itâs your job to watch the kids play area but holy crap. They made me pay a membership for my kid under 2 and the socks donât even fit her because sheâs petite but I paid it because all my older kids are playing and I donât want to sit here for hours with her having nothing to do.
Like I said even the xxsmall socks didnât fit and kept coming off in the ball pit for the toddlersâŠ.so I kept taking my shoes off and going in to just slip them back on her or assist her getting out over the ledge of the play place. The attendant repeatedly tells me I need candeeland socks on to go in. Seriously?! How annoying. Itâs not like I walked all over the play area with my shoes on. And letâs be realâŠ.you have adults walking around on the floor with their shoes on, and the kids all in socks that track up everything from the adult shoes soooo lets use our brains for a moment and think that my barefoot self probably has less crap on my feet than these kids and adults with shoes.
So then my toddler is sitting in the little entry way that spins around and she tells her to stop spinning itâŠ.SO WHY THE HELL DOES IT SPIN IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TO SPIN IT? So my 6 year old goes in there to help her instead because SHE has the candeeland socks and they tell her SHE needs to leave because sheâs not a toddler. Okay but the mom rolling around in the ball pit wearing cat ears was totally fine because she had her socks đ đ
This same attendant then followed around a set of 2 sisters from another family and keeps tapping/grabbing them because they have no idea who she is and why sheâs talking to them and sheâs complaining to them to leave the area and they were very much about 5, and itâs not like they were bothering anyone at all.
A different attendant swaps with this chick and she is standing in the middle of the ball pit policing a roughly 8 year old who was taking her toddler sibling down the slide and their mom was trying to get a video of them. Again, the play area wasnât packed and itâs not like they were clobbering over other kids.
Wasted $200 on memberships because we wonât be going back all over socks and a couple 16 year old girls who take their playground police position wayyyyy too seriously. We will stick with urban air
Also, food is subpar. Burnt pretzel bites, soggy half cooked fries and a pizza that even a group of kids took 3 bites of...
Read moreThis is for the Parker, CO location. Do not go on a crowded day. It is loud and way overcrowded. The speaker system is not loud enough above all of the commotion. If you are by yourself and have more than one child be aware that it is almost impossible to keep track of both at the same time while they are running around this very large play area. I went on a very crowded day and it was very loud with all of the kids playing. While I was with my grandson my granddaughter was playing with her friend. I saw her several times and she was having a good time. When her friend went home she could not find us so she went to the check in counter as she was told to do by us.
The very rude general manager said that they had announced a child over the loud speaker and took her around several times to try and find me. Only after they had called my son after 30 or so minutes I found out that she was at the counter I immediately went to get her. I explained to him that I could not hear the announcements because it was so loud and that I was in the game area, ball pit, and climbing area with my grandson. I also explained to him that she had been playing with her friend and I had seen her several times. He treated me like it was my fault that I couldnât hear or that they didnât see me or I didnât see her when they took her around.
I cannot believe that this rude general manager would think that I would just ignore the loudspeaker when they made the announcements to come get her. I explained that I truly did not hear them because it was so loud. I cannot help it if they did not find me in their walk through.
He informed me that I was banned from Candeeland and even had the audacity to say that I didnât seem too concerned when I went to the counter to get her after they contacted my son and he called me.
I am a 60 year old grandmother who loves her grandchildren dearly. I would never be negligent where they are concerned. If he was truly concerned for her safety then he should have gotten the place quiet and made an announcement or better yet make a phone call. Many children are there running from area to area. Parents are sitting around on their phones or visiting with each other while their children play. They even promote that on their website. For him to insinuate that I was negligent is poor management and leadership. Iâm still flabbergasted.
I am a retired Marine who lives in Virginia. I came to visit my grandchildren over the holidays. I am a responsible adult who does not appreciate being treated as if I am not. There are many, many places that I will be taking my grandchildren to play. I do not feel that Candeeland is safe for my grandchildren if they have that hard of a time contacting someone when your child is playing and they cant find you. They obviously need another system...
