I loved the vibe and ambience here. I wanted to love the food. I got the Sampler bowl. Overpowered with really salty feta and tzatziki sauce. Falafel was tasty, well seasoned. Fries are served on the bottom of the bowl. Fries and every thing else in the bowl was OK. I like the pita strips with the hummus.

So, As I was sitting at the end of the bar I was regretting my decision. I watched bowl After bowl of half eaten food going into the trash. The portions are larger, but not to the extent that you see so much waste. To me this means the food isn’t on par with the caloric impact. Not worth the splurge. This place has a full bar and I am going to guess a lot of people have a few before they eat.

It was my first time in and I did not know that I was supposed to get my own water. I was curtly pointed to the other end of the counter. She did refill my other drink though.

I barely made it home. Everything came rocketing right through me. This is usually how I react to something not quite right. I can honestly say I am heading over to Crave II if I want Mediterranean. They are serving Great Turkish Food. I tried, Spitz, just not for me.

So originally it was a 3 stars for the food, but I am really sick now. Let’s put it this way. I have a lot of errands to run tonight that aren’t going to get ran, because I am laying on the bathroom floor in between waves of wretched...

For the past 5-6 months I have been coming about once a week. I order online and would walk up to the togo stand on the right, try to avoid the customers in the way, and attempt to look at one of the female staff to make it seem like I'm not stealing. Don't think I ever made eye contact with anyone after about 20-30 orders, but I'm all about quick/warm food so I would mostly be in and out quick. The attitudes of the employees was something I noted but never really cared about. So recently I did my normal ordering process, walked in and the togo orders were behind the desk. I then decide like everyone else to wait in the middle of the restaurant and get in everyone's way. I see my order behind the desk and the employees running all over in a fairly unoptimized setup. I wait for however long 5-10 minutes and the thoughts of "just take the order, they don't care, they don't even look at you" start to pop up. I wait another little bit and decide to take the order because Iv'e noted the taste difference between their wraps warm and cold over the last few months. Then a lady behind the front desk magically appears on my way out and shouts hey you can't just take the orders! So I bring it back and ya....

Long story short, the togo situation along with the general flow/optimization of the restaurant could use some work. Food is good and mostly consistent. Not sure I'll be coming back as...

Placed an online order at Spitz and asked to eat in when I arrived. I was told no in a dismissive way, as if I wasn’t welcome. Only after an awkward pause did they change their mind. Left feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

Another visit:

I had one of the worst customer service experiences here. All I wanted was a simple substitution: swap the juice box in my order for an iced tea. Last time, it wasn’t an issue. This time, however, the manager flat out refused and treated me with an unnecessarily nasty attitude.

Her excuse? She said the meal was “cheap enough” and that was reason enough not to give me a fountain iced tea. That logic is absurd. If anything, swapping a juice box for a fountain iced tea would actually be cheaper for the restaurant and more of a net profit. Instead of showing any common sense or customer care, the manager chose to dig her heels in and be rude.

We’re talking about an iced tea from the fountain—something that could’ve easily resolved the situation in seconds. Instead, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, not from the food, but from the unprofessional and downright boneheaded attitude of management. A small act of courtesy could have avoided all of this, but apparently, that’s too much...

Came here for a quick lunch and had a great time. The food was exceptional, and the vibe in the restaurant was uplifting thanks to a modern yet unpretentious interior design (think Banksy meets Rolling Stone). I had the street cart wrap combo with pita chips and hummus, which blew my taste buds away. The wife had their Mediterranean wrap combo with a mix of waffle and regular fries. We both loved our orders, but I will say the pita chips hit so well that they made the fries seem basic. They have a couple of house made hot sauces that should not be slept on: dump them on your wrap for that extra kick in between tzaziki focused bites or dunk those pita chips/fries. You won't be disappointed. Our fountain drinks came out in actual glasses, which had me feeling pretty high class for lunch time. They have a full bar that looked inviting, but i did not partake. The service was solid as well. Next to the bathrooms, they have a chalkboard if you want to make your mark, which is a fun little feature. Really recommend this place if you are looking for a superior lunch spot and enjoy your meat well seasoned and slow roasted on a vertical spit. Or if you love fresh, high-quality veggie ingredients/options. We will be back!

Spitz has a modern take on the Mediterranean cuisine. The menu was a bit hard to understand as a first timer. The person at the counter was helpful to the extent the questions were asked but were not forthcoming with suggestions per se. Thus, we went with the provided menu items but since the menu was not easy to decipher, we didn't make any customization but I believe it is possible to change it up per your preferences. The food was good tasting...I would say like a fusion Mediterranean...and the portions are good enough for one person per dish. However, those who are spice lovers will need to rely on the hot sauces provided on the side. It turns out that the cilantro sauce is much spicier than the harissa chili sauce...so take it accordingly. There is plenty of spaces to sit inside and with an external patio space. The decor and atmosphere is casual and trendy with even games available to play while you eat/wait. The service was fast so not much waiting was involved. Bathrooms were clean however we had a bit of an issue with flies because of the door to the patio staying open all the time. Otherwise, it is a good place to get a slightly different take on the Mediterranean cuisine. Try it and decide for yourself!

SO I WAS GOING TO GIVE THIS PLACE A 1STAR. FROM THE MOMENT I WALKED IN THE SERVICE WAS BAD. THE ONLY POEPLE I INTERACTED WITH WERE UNFRIENDLY, I have never been there and needed a little walk through on the menu. BUT. When I asked I was looked at like I just insulted her. Following up with is that it is that it. People working there need a personality check. It's called customer service not how you feel inside. Now. All that aside let's talk atmosphere! Imagine going to a punk rock show in the mid 90's in London. Place is full of hipster type folks from DTC area. Enough said. LETS GET TO WHY I UPPED THE STARS TO 4 FROM 1. . . THE FOOD!!! WE ALL KNOW I LOVE FOOD, AND 👌 👏 😍 THE WRAP AND THE SALAD WERE ON POINT. the Falafels OMG a touch of cinnamon and sugar and not the tiny little ones either. And I don't care if you do not like baklava you have to try it. I have eaten baklava from all around the world and this was amazing not a traditional but it's own dessert take. The sauces the offer all though not spicy at all, were good as well. Get the beef lamb wrap. Top off each bite with the chili sauce and enjoy a baklava to settle your meal down. 😋 till next meal peace
