Honestly, I wanted to love the nail tech so bad and it just wasn’t happening. I booked with “the best”, this is how she referred to herself multiple times throughout my appointment, because she has a good reputation from what I could find. I booked an appointment for a full set and pedicure with acrylic toes all with the same nail tech. For starters, my pedicure was done by 3 different people and only about 5-10 minutes of that time was with the nail tech I booked with and that was just to put the acrylic on my toes. Finished product on toes: literally a joke, they popped off a couple days later, thank God. Onto the full set, my nails were not proportional whatsoever. You could look at any single finger by itself and it looked good but then you look at them all together and it looks like 5 different peoples’ nails on one hand. There was no clean up so there was a bunch of heaped up acrylic under the nails and on the sides. She rushed through the designs which was heartbreaking bc I had a design on every nail and was not happy with it at all. Aside from the finished product, bc I’m more than willing to work with a nail tech on those kind of things that can be fixed, this girl’s personality was awful. She was beyond rude to the, seemed to be new, younger white girl who was running the front desk. I felt so so bad for this girl. This lady was belittling her in front of everybody, talking to her like she was stupid, and then telling me “she just stupid” and laughing. Horrible. The nail tech I booked with got up several times during my appointment to service other customers (waxing new customers & helping other nail techs). What should’ve taken MAYBE 3-4 hours took 6 hours and I was sick to my stomach when I left. I hope the girl at the front quit and I won’t be back, absolutely awful experience...
Read moreI literally cried for half an hour after leaving this salon. The picture with the brown background is before I shaped them myself for 45 minutes after I got home, and TRIED to fix them. The black background picture is after. There were already 2 people getting their nails done when i sat down with my friend, and i was in and out before anyone else was done, even the people before me. I sat for another 30 minutes after and waited for my friend to finish. The nail specialist used my pinky nail (first one) as a length reference, and I said it was beautiful. The rest of my nails after that came out messed up. Forefinger nail lean to the left, middle finger has a really weird shape. Pinky nails were as long as my other nails. And on top of it they were supposed to be round yet came out somewhere in between almond and oval. I don't treat myself very often, so why should I have to pay 80 dollars, and have to tell a specialist how to provide a service? No one asked me how I liked my nails after the shaping, or painting, or at payment. She went to do someone else's nails and left my hands to dry, and I sat there for a few minutes before I went to wash my hands because I assumed they were finished with me? And as I walked by a different lady asked if I wanted oil on my hands. It was entirely an uncomfortable service and turned me off from nail salons in general. And now I get to feel self-conscious about something that usually makes me...
Read moreBooked an appointment for myself and my mother in law. We checked in and were able to get in a few minutes before our scheduled appointment, which was great. We looked at the prices online prior to booking the appointment, so we had our services and type of polish in mind already / the price point for those services in mind. My mother in law was charged more than she was thinking due to them putting gel on her nails instead of regular nail polish, as she just wanted to do a French manicure. They used a colored acrylic for the base of the French manicure (which was brown and not pink). When she told her nail tech that she preferred pink on her base, the nail tech said “this looks good. Looks natural” and continued giving her a set of nails she didn’t like. I wanted to do gel polish, but my nail tech chose for me a colored acrylic and put a chrome powder overtop. Afterwards she asked if I liked them and I told her I did. Then she gave me my total for the full set and pedicure and it came out to $132. I was budgeting MAYBE $95 for both services. I asked for a price breakdown and she said my nails alone were $77, due to the chrome being $20 (!!!!!!!!!!!) extra. I am so disappointed in how these nail techs decided what they were gonna do without consulting their customers or notifying us of upcharges for...
