Every town has quiet little gems. On a walkabout I found this peaceful place. Water flows and the birds are heard chattering in the distance. The end of Winter so all is still asleep. As I am visiting and likely to return… I will see this place in summer at dusk. Worth it when settling in life is needed in midst of busy. Go in later March/ early April to see the Japanese Cherries blossom 🌸. Like the Daphne, Crocuses , Daffodils early harbingers of Spring!

Small, free and beautiful. Lots of places to sit and ponder. Only one bridge in and out of the back area so it gets tricky to cross when there's a large group. Made it feel a bit chasteopbic at the end of my visit. Love all the history and fine touches that have been added over the decades.
