M & M Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Gresham

The place was very clean, well kept and the food was decent.

The reason I am giving only 3 stars is because of our waitress and a couple other reasons. She is kind and has a good spirit but her waiting skills are subpar at best.

First our waitress asked if I wanted more water and before I answered she just took my glass back to the kitchen and refilled it. The real problem is where is her pitcher? Does she always just take your current glass back to the kitchen to refill it?

Secondly she kept readjusting the blinds to a window next to us. I was fine with the first time because she opened it just a bit but 10 minutes later she came back and opened it way more and it made my eyes hurt. My eyes had to readjust to the lighting.

Thirdly she just assumed we were done with our food and took our plates to throw it out. Didn't ask if we wanted it to go. I was done with it and probably would have NOT taken it home but I still have never seen something like that.

Other than that the glasses and plates stuck to the table if left too long (the type of wood it is) and there was no straw...

Edit: Dont come at night. The cook and the woman running the lounge side are rude at night. We overheard her complaining to him about us coming in after 6 (like 6:30 or so). (They are open till 9. We call earlier in the day to check and make sure they will be open because we know they arent always.) My son even asked me if they were saying they didnt want us there. She said it was rude that we would come in. Like we came in at 8:55. (Weve stopped coming at night because of this. She has complained about us twice. Shes not our waitress, she doesnt deal with us at all, shes just mad cuz the cook cant focus on the lounge and has to make actual food.)

We eat here way more than anywhere else. I have always loved French toast but never have I had better French toast than here. And if you love crispy bacon like I do, theirs is so on point. This is the only resturant the kids and adults can all agree on. Not to mention the extremely friendly staff. Oh, I almost forgot their coloring contests. My daughter and I went to have breakfast. The waitress sat us and got part of our drinks. My daughter ordered chocolate milk. The waitress delivered the soda and said she would be back with the milk. There was one other table that got there before us. She then sat two more tables. This waitress then proceeded to take the order for a man at the counter that had just walked in. I could tell she knew him. Then she went and took the orders for the last two tables she just sat. The table that was there before us and my daughter and I still hadn’t ordered our food. I said something to the guy cleaning tables and he said he would let her know. 5 minutes later still waiting and so was the other table. We asked how much the soda was, left it on the table and left. We are now at Biscuits and we’re sat right away and order has been takes all within a few minutes. We won’t be going back to M&M Restaurant. Service was terrible.
