K&B Bridals and Tux — Attraction in Hagerstown

I had been to 3 or 4 dress shops prior to this one. I hate trying on clothes and hate dresses so this was not something I was looking forward to. Not to mention I was beginning to think I would never find my perfect dress. Margaret made this experience to amazing for me. I had fun and I even found my dress. There was a bit of a price mix up but honestly so worth it for THE dress and for the experience. I know it wasn't intentional and I could tell Margaret felt horrible about it (even though she tried very hard to hide it). To be completely honest, this entire experience with trying on so many dresses and joking around with Margaret had me almost asking her to be my MOH! I know that sounds sad but I truly loved working with her and talking to her that I didn't want our relationship to end here. I really hope that when my dress comes in, I will be able to continue to work strictly with her. She is truly amazing and so genuine and kind. She helped me feel special and beautiful. She rarely gave her opinion but when she did, I really enjoyed her feed back and I absolutely loved making her laugh. Margaret, you are a true gem and if you want to be total besties, find me and add me on Facebook girl! Beyond my stylist being the best, I also was very impressed with the variety of dresses to try on, the dressing areas (though they could use additional hooks at least!), the decor and everything else. As soon as I walked in I felt a warm welcome and was offered refreshments which was needed after all the sweating I did trying on dresses! The bathroom was very clean and cute! There were mirrors all over the place and cute little things like messages on the mirrors and "I said yes to the dress" jackets. Unlike most stores I have been to, I was able to walk the floor and take a look for myself. I don't think there is one thing that I didn't love about this place. Well maybe the fact that the robes in the dressing room and the jackets seemed to only be in smaller than 3XL sizes. I never once felt plus size here either and anyone who is knows how hard and sad that feeling is. I only felt beautiful and special and just so.... Me!

If you are looking for a dress and are so over shopping, try this place. It won't disappoint! Make sure you drink plenty of fluids as it gets crazy hot (it's a total workout!) and you might want a to go fan (and extra deodorant) for those places you didn't know could sweat! Truly this place is great. Totally worth the hour plus drive it took...

Absolutely loooooved my experience here. I had the Opal package and despite multiple weather delays that caused me to reschedule my appointment I finally arrived. Upon getting there I was greeted by my consultant Evelyn. She was warm and very sweet. She asked if I we needed anything before starting and then we got into the appointment. I had my own suite. Equipped with a platform to stand on, huge mirror, separate dressing room and plenty of seating. In addition to that they supplied Champagne and little pastry bites as well as a gift that was beautifully put together. We went over everything I liked and didn’t like and we also touched on things I wanted to hide (since I am plus sized). Sidenote: I bought up what I wanted to hide, not the consultant. Evelyn pulled a few dresses for me. I was quite surprised they had a good inventory for someone of my size as my fear was they wouldn’t have much variety. So I was ELATED!!! I was willing to try on anything but did have an idea in my head of what I wanted, which was an A line style dress. Imagine my surprise when she asked if I’d try on a fitted dress and IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!! I absolutely loved it and the icing on the cake was when she put a veil on my. Evelyn was extremely personable and patient with me. She allowed us to have time to talk and think the options over. We also got a chance to walk the floor and see if there was anything else we wanted to try. But after trying the fitted dress, I knew that was it. I was so nervous going into the appointment I never expected that I would “Say Yes to the dress.” After saying yes I got measured and we talked about payment options and time frames. They really did make me feel at ease through out the process. Just for context, I drove 2 hours for this appointment and it was more than worth it. My moh, mom, and I made what became a 3 hour one-way trek from DC to Hagerstown this morning. And it was more than worth it. My stylist today was Jenny and she was amazing. She is the warmest, most encouraging stylist! She pulled a number of dresses that were exactly what I asked for. The first I was super certain about and had actually requested to try, and it didn't work. Almost at all, which was very disappointing. And then the third dress was everything I loved and wanted in the first but at a level better than I could have imagined. I thought I wanted satin, but apparently mikado exists and is exactly the material I was actually envisioning. The skirt is double layered and pleated and voluminous and perfect for my venue. I am still looking at pictures and just loving the dress more and more. And then Jenny found it for me off the rack! She remembered there just happened to be one in my size on the rack majorly discounted because it was ordered for a bride in the wrong color. But it was the preferred color for me. Jenny then still let us lose to pull and try the most random selection of dresses because I wanted to try to be open minded and confirm I had my one dress. And she happily helped me try them all on as I almost immediately rejected each one.

I honestly cant believe I found the most perfect dress in a shade of ivory I love and didnt even know existed and in my price point. This was my first and only wedding dress appointment and my wedding isn't even for 16 months. But I am beyond happy and satisfied. I can only wish for other brides a one and only dress shopping experience as amazing as I had today. Thank you so...
