ANOTHER Bad Experience at Dollar General Market in Haines City 😣. I have used the Dollar General App for approx 10+ years. I am an active "Couponer," and quite good at it. I check store sale items vs my active coupons (saved on the DG app, printed or cut). My shopping lists always includes the sale item info, and coupon details, so I don't select the wrong product (see pic below of my shopping list-it includes: DG store sale prices and details, manufacturer restrictions-brands included, oz limits etc.). One BIG problem is the DG App doesn't detail exactly what items are eligible for their weekly sales.
After my 8/8/20 shopping trip to the DOLLAR GENERAL MARKET in Haines City, FL, I NOW have TO RETURN/DISPUTE/AND PROVE to the General Manager that either I WAS appox. 20+ items on my receipt were the incorrect advertised sale price or my saved coupons on the Dollar General App/My Acct huge non-disposable shopping bag full of items to return (see attached pic of my DGM reciept & DGM sale items for week ending 8/8/20 * ALL HIGHLIGHTED/PEN MARKED ITEMS on receipt below are items I had COUPONS FOR or ADVERTISEDDGM SALE ITEM DISCREPANCIES*) because almost ALL the coupons I was going to use from my Dollar General App/Acct did not get taken off my final grocery bill. Additionally, DGM products I purchased that were advertised IN that weeks DGM flyer and on the DG App as "SALE ITEMS" for the week DGM-did not give me the advertised sale price upon check out either-even though I entered my phone number/acct number on the payment screen-multiple times! The GM on duty solution was that "I would have to come back when the head GM WAS THERE to get it fixed!"
I AM going to contact Dollar General Corporate about This issue. It happens to a lot of people and is probably a class action suite because,This HAS been an ongoing issue at Dollar General stores, especially because you cannot tell or know if the coupon applied by following the transaction screen and the clerks always say, "coupons won't show until the purchases/transaction is completed," when I shop with coupons I have downloaded to my DG App.
AT CHECK OUT counter, there were 3-5 items I wante to confirm were part of the weekly sale items.DGM sale itemiat the Dollar General Market in Haines City, it was AWFUL. The clerk (who was very polite and friendly vs the) had NO IDEA if certain items were included in the weekly DGM sale, nor did he call for the MOD to answer my questions
For example, yesterday-General Mills cereal and/or GM breakfast/snack bars were advertised 3 for $6. The Dollar General Market in Haines City, had an entire end-cap of an isle advertising the sale, with all kinds of GM products. Included on this end-cap were boxes of Captain Crunch (which does not denote on the box front, what company makes it.
For example, I asked if Captain Crunch was included in the GM 3/$6 sale and mentioned it was on the end-cap. Again, the cashier had NO IDEA (and did not ask the MOD).
When I got home I realized about $15 of coupons that were on my DG acct/app, were not applied to my total due, even though I selected the correct items advertised as on sale, or my DG app downloaded coupons were not deducted, and I was charged for an item I did not purchase or come home with.
So now, I have to go back to the store and speak to the General Manager, who will have to review the video of my purchasesto prove I didn't by Apple Jacks, prove I had the coupons (I took screen shots before midnight of my coupons that expired that day-because they automatically are deleted from your DG app "saved/My Coupons," once used or expired. Unfortunately, I took with me-what I thought was a full Sale flyer for that week (sale week ended yesterday- but unfortunately it was only one page of the flyer. I guarantee you if I can't find one in a cart the GM will say he has know way of knowing what was on sale last week. It was 12:04 when I realized I only had 1 page for the DGM sale flyer so, I couldn't screen shot it as well. Please LIKE this review if it this stuff happens to you...
Read moreAlways bad experience in every store we been in which is all of them except for therapy and dental they were nice but all the other stores in this location are rude lazy unprofessional especially t-mobile I drive all the way over to lakeland to avoid them and it is only 1 mile from my home. Popeyes is just as bad worst service you can ever imagine and kfc never gets the order right always having to go back or go inside to get it fixed. Hungry howies used to be great now they have just gone down hill and used to be so kind now they are just rude and the owners never respond to your complaints. Burger King is always out of everything it seems like after 8 pm so you wait in line for 15 min and then they don't have anything you want but during lunch it is great other than the half filled french fies...
