It's been years since this location got my order right. (And I order at the window, knowing that a drive-through order would be even less correct.) I suspect there might even be a racial motivation for the way they treat me.
I only visit this store when the one in Winter Haven is unavailable, but that's a farther drive.
My recent visit, the gentleman refused to speak to me, so I didn't even know when he was ready for my order. I asked twice if he was ready, and he would not answer. I ordered my fish with extra pickles. When he relayed the order to the back, he only said add pickles. I reminded him "extra pickles", which he did relay. How could he have forgotten what I'd said in just the few seconds since I had said it? Also ordered a strawberry ice cream CUP. When came back, he asked what flavour, which I, again, told him. I got a cone, not a cup. When he went to hand it to me, I told him, "I said cup". So, without an apology, or even any word, at all, he grabs a soft drink cup, and just sloppily turns the cone upside down into it. (I suspect that I did not get as much ice cream as I would have if he'd put it in a cup in the first place.)
Of course, the sandwich still didn't have the extra pickles. In fact, there were very few pickles. But, I always know, in advance, that this is the kind of service I only get at the Haines City location.
A few weeks prior, I had the same sandwiches I always get. When I placed the order (no sauce, no cheese, extra pickles), the girl at the window decided to change the way I placed the order, so that it, also, excluded lettuce. Why would she think that I didn't know the way I wanted my sandwich?
I was standing at the window for quite a while. To their credit, a couple of managers apologized for the amount of time the order was taking. Problem is that I knew, in advance, that they'd exclude the lettuce. When the order was finally handed to me over 20 minutes later, I opened it in front of them, and told the same order-taker lady that she forgot the lettuce. She actually ARGUED with me, telling me that that was the way I placed the order. Again, as if I didn't know how I wanted my own sandwich! Do you really have that many customers that don't know how they want their order?
Of course my receipt was not included (which is understandable as badly as they did.) However, I insisted on getting my receipt, which they pretended it was difficult to find. I guess she really hoped I would forego my receipt, since she knew how poor her customer service was.
I finally got the lettuce, and was back in my car a full 29 minutes after I placed the order.

I am absolutely appalled with the service received at this location. I'm a First time customer at this store, I pulled into the drive through ask for a second to view the menu and when i was ready, told the lady I was to which she responded with attitude and sas, "you can order when ready". The worst one was then the man at the pick up window who had an already displeased and angry look on his face gives no dialogue takes my card and gives me my drink in a quick displeased manner. Then gives me my card back again with no dialogue and no receipt so i wouldn't even be able to tell you what employee it was as received none. Hands me my food practically throwing it into my hands. To were i look at him attempt to ask if that's everything, but before i get a word in he slams the window closed and locks it. I then later look at the reviews on google and find this is a repetitive problem at this location and employee. I encourage higher management further investigate this location and retrain/fire rudely staff. The negative experience I got visiting this store made me so fearful to even eat the food so I had to discard it. As i would not trust food made by staff like that. I will not be coming back. Hopefully this gets addressed

Read moreIt was an hr before close but if this was the 1st time eating at checkers, I'd never eat there again. 2 stars ONLY cuz the food is too good to pass up but employees that are rude and make you feel like an imposition, really decreases the chances of someone returning. They were rude and anything I asked for, they didn't wanna do. "We don't sell onions on the side"? I ALWAYS pay for extra onions cuz no amount is ever enough. There was more resistance not worth mentioning cuz i don't want any problems. I just feel like "the customer is always right" isn't in their training course. No one wanted to to anything extra, even the manager. They made me feel like asking politely, multiple times, was erroneous or off-putting. I'll think twice about going there again, even though they're the only checkers is a 30 mile radius and the only other place to eat at that hr is mcdees and u can only eat so much of it before checkers fries start making ur mouth water...
