Weird experience here. The grounds are laid out nicely with a variety of pumpkins, a teepee, a little area to take photos with a giant teddy bear and porta-potties in the back lot. No kid activities, but an easy location to get to.
The old guy who works there is a character, to put it nicely. I heard him make some off comments to other customers about wanting to close, etc. but when we went up to pay he was nice to us. It was still early too. I was there with my mom, husband, baby and dog. He even joked with my mom about older people knowing the price, since she by chance had the right amount of money out already. After loading our wagon-full of items in the car, my husband went back to buy one more pumpkin and the old guy approached him asking if that one pumpkin was all he was buying and if he parked in the lot. He said he canât park there if thatâs all he was buying. My husband said how he was just in there with his family and bought a bunch of pumpkins and yes we are parked in the lot. The old guy said âyou shouldnât have told me that and you shouldnât be parked in our lotâ. The Woman who work there tried to explain to him as well as she remembered us and my husband, but the old guy kept getting mad and telling my husband to just hurry up and get out of there. This guy had even come up to me and my husband and baby when we first got there since we were standing next a big pumpkin that he said not to touch.. not that we were even within reach as it was on a big flatbed. It was a very odd experience. My husband laughed it off, but he was so rude to him that I donât think Iâll be going there...
Read moreI donât write reviews often but Iâve never had such a horrible experience I felt the need to let others know. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. To start off, they arenât very friendly or helpful as youâre walking around. After spending longer than expected trying to find some decent pumpkins, we go to checkout and are told our selected pumpkins would cost $70. $70!!!!! We had two okay sized pumpkins, a few small pumpkins and then some super tiny pumpkins. In past years at other pumpkin patches, a similar selection would cost $30. When I asked the gentleman to break down the prices, he said some pumpkins were $15. Are you kidding me? I asked to do a better price on the whole batch since you can get five pumpkins (any size) for $25 next door. His reply? BYE. An absolute disgrace. Will never return and advise you to not waste your time and...
Read moreFarmer John's has been a go-to of ours for many years, but today was my last visit. Very rude staff yelled at our kids for playing in the corn. We immediately told them to get out but apparently this angry man felt he needed to come yell at the adults too. I told him they should have a sign, like the sunflowers do, and then we would have stayed away from the corn. He said we would have just ignored it. Ummm, no, ACTUALLY I do read signs and mine were no where near the sunflowers because it was clearly marked off limits. It's totally inappropriate to yell at people. We come to the pumpkin patch to let the kids PLAY! This has always been encouraged in the past, which is why I usually buy a wagon full and pay 3 times store prices. I stopped at a half wagon today... That said, the pumpkins were gorgeous. Still got a good haul for...
