Stumbled upon this place for lunch after a morning of beach day fun at half moon bay. Warm, welcoming staff greeted us and were seated immediately. We started with egg rolls and shiu mai. Rolls were crispy, hot and delicious and came with sweet n sour dipping sauce. Shiu mai had pork filling and were quite meaty and substantial. For main course we had pad Thai which was slightly saucy and wok fried. Came with chicken and shrimp so quite filling. It could have used more tamarind and peanuts but our kids enjoyed it nevertheless. Husband and I shared lemongrass seafood entree as well fried tilapia. Lemongrass had a wonderful assortment of shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari and few scallops nestled in a light green curry style gravy/ sauce. Really enjoyed clean, vibrant, fresh flavors. Fried tilapia came hot, crispy and delicious. We devoured the crisp and juicy morsels with our hands. Could have used more seasoning spices but it did come with a side sauce. We ordered a side of jasmine rice for our entrees. Interiors were quite basic but clean unlike some of the more ornate Thai places we find in the area. In a nutshell, mom n pop style delicious Thai eatery, friendly service, awesome food. Heard they were a new establishment. Go visit them and they will take care of you. Keep up the...
Read moreSuch great reviews but The only thing good I could honestly stay about this place is the service was really good. Yes the food was inexpensive but the portion size was so small you're better off going somewhere paying a couple dollars more and getting a real portion the pad woon sen had zero flavor. They don't serve rice with their dishes like some places and one side of rice was $3. So if you go somewhere that's a little more expensive you get the free rice and a Much larger Serving portion. We ( Two of us ) spent over $50 on three dishes and one side of rice And left hungry. Massaman curry and roti is photographed. You can tell how small the portion is by the tiny spoon in the bowl. Very...
Read moreThis restaurant is a hidden gem. Waitress and chefs are all super friendly. Bathroom is the cleanest I have ever seem. Food not only taste authentic but also looks pretty. Sesame ball, steam dumpling, pad thai, soup noodle, stick rice mango, crab stir fry, all of them are delicately delicious. The noodle is too little to me. The crab meat stir fry is using a lot of fresh dungeness crab meat. The chef ladies must love cooking and make every dish with heart. The food are actually fusion, because there are Cantonese dim sum, Vietnamese pho and of course Thai food. The hours start from early morning, very convenient....
