Absolutely love this place, almost an hour drive but was totally worth it!! The numerous shelves of yarn and other supplies make it a must visit yarn shop even if you want something simple like a journal. Which I picked up during my time there during the Bay Area Yarn Crawl, super neat journal to log projects and brainstorm craft ideas. The environment is super cozy and its in the middle of a downtown area so there's plenty of other places to explore/sightsee while you're there. The staff are kind and even though there were quite of bit of people coming in and out for the BAYC bingo, they made sure everyone got their stamps and the help they needed. I got my first ever BAYC bingo sticker here that was awesome! Also, while I was browsing the colorful displays of yarns throughout the store I got the chance speak to Lynn, the owner/dyer of Peninsula Yarns and she is amazing!!! Not only is she super kind and extremely talented, their passion for their hand-dyed yarn is evident in the numerous beautiful skeins they brought in for the yarn crawl. When I asked about their inspiration for the exclusive skeins, they were more than happy to explain how they were inspired by nature, in this case it was a specific tide pool and cove (sorry I forgot the names of them lol but they had the pictures on display and I'll add pictures to this review as well) but I had to get a couple skeins of the one inspired by the cove it was so gorgeous. And trust me, if I had gotten my paycheck that week I would have probably gotten the one inspired by the tide pool too. Will definitely be checking out their online store in the future and meeting epic people like that really make the experience of pursuing crafts and exploring the BAYC that much more amazing. This was a wonderful experience that wouldn't have been possible without the amazing people at this place, thank you once again and I will definitely be back after I've recovered from my wisdom tooth removal surgery!!!

I have my son to thank for noticing this sweet shop as we were visiting Half Moon Bay. Super sweet, welcoming place. Lots of variety and (my favorite) lots of samples. Loved all the gift ideas. Wound up picking up a skein of Cashsilk Cotton and a Color Evolution scarf pattern, both from Laines du Nord. Would have liked to bring home a whole lot more. Thanks again for being so helpful!

6th stop on the Bay Area Yarn Crawl! Very welcoming. They had a drawing that we didn't need to be present to win (high five). Great selection of pricey yarns and also some more pocket friendly. Excited that this store actually had crochet hooks!

Beautiful yarn store in Half Moon Bay, stocked with the kinds of yarns that almost made me wish I lived nearby, where it's cool and sweater season runs much longer than it does in my part of the world.

Great book options; friendly staff. Would love to be able to shop...
