As the bride and the main planner for our wedding, I was super happy being able to book a beautiful building like the Rialto for our style and wedding aesthetic to come together nicely with professional photography. However, I’m regrettably writing this review because I am trying to have the next bride consider otherwise:
• Overall lack of sweeping / cleanliness of entire venue and lack of preparedness • Dead bugs all over the bathroom when visiting the venue and the day of the wedding •False advertising on space to get ready •Toilet paper was not filled (ones that were wouldn’t work properly like it was installed wrong) •The groom had to remove the baby changing table •They forgot their drill for the ceremony arch (my bridesmaids were waiting on them to get one and fix the arch as well as waiting to decorate for quite some time) •The chairs for the ceremony were pushed way too far up and my bridesmaids were sweating out their hair and makeup trying to fix it beforehand •Trying to tell us we couldn’t have alcohol or food when getting ready before the event has even started •My Mom had gotten a drink accidentally spilt on her and they did not offer to help clean or change the white table cloth out before the event started •The bartending was lacking (except for Miss Tammy) and too many guests told me they were ignored / waiting too long •They did not allow one of my best friends during the ceremony to come back in 1 minute late and made her watch from the gate •Last straw - getting ready to walk down the isle and my Dad is the one opening the door for everyone in the bridal party to get into the ceremony (I had to stop them from playing on their iPad twice as I was exiting the door to get some help)
Overall, having an attitude like my family is a nuisance when they are very sweet guests - not trashy or hoity toity in the slightest - is very disheartening and I do not want another bride to have the experience I had here. Save your money and go somewhere else where they treat you like a queen on your wedding day - not a peasant. The whole experience was unsat and they are not coordinated enough yet to truly run a business after taking it over from someone I know quite well. Thanks to my friends and family, we still had the wedding of our dreams. A huge thanks goes to Jordyn Crowe Photography being able to edit...
Read moreI was there for my friends wedding, I was even involved in officiating it. It was a beautiful place. The drinkers were good and well priced, the entire place looked stunning, then only negative thing I can say is this. I understand you don't want wedding crashers. But crazy to me how my fiancée shows up exactly 1 minute late, is in a dress with her hair and makeup done, and is knocking at your front door and your Bartender looks at her and ignores her. Crazy to me how she has to stand outside and watch her friends get married through a gap in the fence. Maybe at the very least you let her inside the venue instead of letting her sit outside like a stray dog. I get you dont want the wedding interrupted. But 1 minute late is nuts to me. And at the very least let her sit inside instead of standing outside for 30 minutes waiting for the final I do's. As I said. Beautiful venue, fantastic hosts, a wonderful night. But seeing my fiancée eyes through a fence half way through the marriage is absolutely...
Read moreThe recently-renovated Rialto is the perfect place to host a special event. Not only is it beautifully styled, the staff are nothing short of amazing. Kara was responsive during planning, helpfully answered all my questions and prepared the perfect setup for our bridal shower. AJ was a great bartender and quickly came to the rescue when needed during our event. I've hosted several events in the Hannibal and Kansas City areas and the customer service I received here was of the highest standard. Thank you for providing us an...
