James, J I, like many others, had come to believe that "customer service" was dead in today's business world. However, I have found that there is an exception to that belief and his name is Glen Depaola! My partner (Linda) and I decided to buy a new mattress as our old one was no longer comfortable and, more importantly, I was scheduled for back surgery the following week. Thankfully, we went to Mattress Warehouse and met Glen, the store manager. He listened to our concerns and asked us several questions to understand which mattresses would offer the best options. He spent over an hour having us test the comfort level of more than five mattresses and explained the special features that should be considered for my immediate needs (from forthcoming surgery) and for future needs. We found the perfect solution that included a mattress that provided a great balance of firmness with a pillow-top that felt like resting on a cloud. Glen suggested that we consider the added comfort of an adjustable bed frame to better accommodate my recovery. He was so right! He also made sure our new mattress and bed frame were delivered before my surgery. When the mattress and frame were delivered, we were asked to select the height the frame for our comfort. We decided to have the frame lowered a few inches to accommodate my upcoming back surgery. However, when I came home from the hospital, I realized we had made a mistake. The bed was still too high! I couldn't get into bed even with the aid of a stepstool! We immediately reached out to Glen to see if the service people could return to lower the frame. He amazed us with his response. He said he would come to our house after he finished work that evening and he would make the adjustments himself so I would be able to use the bed that night! We have never experienced this kind of concern for a customer's wellbeing. We can't praise Glen enough for his above-and-beyond level of customer service. We had a wonderful customer service experience on Sunday 2/17. We entered the store and we were greeted by both Will and Glen and were told they would help us shortly. We began to look around and test out beds. Glen directed us to the "test bed" that recommended a bed for us. But we liked a different bed. Glen brought us our ideal pillows to try out on the Serta adjustable bed we liked. We played with the functions and my husband found a spot that helped his sciatic pain. We knew the bed was what we needed but finances posed an issue. Glen worked hard to figure out 2 options for financing for us and gave us time to discuss it. We were made to feel comfortable and at ease from the beginning. Both Will and Glen were personable, relatable and funny. We were offered accessories and extended warranties to help us get the most out of our new purchase. We were offered a great deal we couldn't refuse. And I know we are in for more restful sleep in the near future! And to top it off, delivery, set up and take away is included! How can you beat that? My wife and I are very excited for our new mattress we purchased here! I got to deal with Keith and Glen during my purchase. Keith helped me pick out a mattress I liked but I told him I’d have to come back with my wife before I decided and he was very understanding. Unfortunately when my wife and I returned we had to have our toddlers with us, but Glen and Keith both were very friendly and understanding. Glen took his time with us and both Glen and Keith were very knowledgeable about all of their beds. Once we decided on our mattress, Glen was able to get us all the information, purchase paperwork , and delivery done very quickly so we didn’t need to chase our kids around for too long.
