Best free beach in Waikiki for snorkeling! I saw at least 6-7 different varieties of fish including the state fish of Hawaii - the reef triggerfish. You have to be careful as the water is very shallow at certain points, and you could end up too close to the reef floor. Better to wear water shoes to avoid getting scrapped.
The best fish are along the Queen’s walkway on the north side. I found it easier to enter the water from the south side of the walkway though. You can see a lot of the fish even if you just walk along the walkway.

The views here during the sunset are unreal, not only that but the nightlife is pretty amazing too. I spent the whole day and night here on most of my vacation and would do it again. They have surfing instructors all along the beach if you’re interested or you can just lounge in the perfect weather and take in some rays.
