Adventure Playground — Attraction in Hilton Head Island

Adventure Playground Park is an absolute gem! The highlight is the newly built pirate ship, complete with web nets for kids to climb in and through. Inside the pirate ship, there’s also a suspension bridge with ropes and plenty of netting to climb across, adding to the adventure. The park also features a cool water splash pad where kids can have fun, though there’s no lifeguard on duty, so supervision is a must. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and is managed by the city, making it free of charge. There are several swing sets that can accommodate the whole family, and swing benches for parents to relax on while keeping an eye on their kids. This place still has the new smell. The water features are not on yet (not when we went). But looking at where the water is going to be in some spots this place looks like it will be awesome. With this park comes an update to the way you drive into the “old” parking lot. Please pay attention when driving as there are and will be more children in the parking lots. There is a little fitness trail. About 4-6 workout machines. Really neat. They are all working off your own body weight. The kids loved it. The ship is large enough for children of all ages to play even adults playing with their own children. The restrooms were clean. A beautiful playground we'll be back to! Plenty of free parking, a large, clean bathroom nearby and two individual family bathrooms inside the fully fenced-in playground, picnic tables, benches, a sand pit, a huge climbing ship, swings, a toddler/preschool play structure, a water-river feature, and misting canons make this playground unforgettable! A few things to be aware of: the fake logs, squishy playground surface, and slides get VERY hot in the sun.
