I purchased my timeshare at Palmers for Coral Sands. We fell in love with it that was 5-6 years ago, we have never been able to stay there not enough, no openings, we saved points plan a year in advance still no stay at Coral Sands we get shuffled off to other resorts, now mind we end up living some of the other Palmers Resorts. Bottom line we saved points for this Sept 2021 and again couldn't get Coral Sands but got shuffled off to Islands Links of Hilton Head was told it was 5star and I would be so pleased, they agent personally said they would pick this over any of there resorts. Well we took it. It's rated 2.3 star, we had a 3 Bedroom villa, our patio existed of 4 chairs that was on there last go round, it wasn't clean and our view was ragged brush unkept not very appealing. I was real excited about the pools I virtually views the pools and it looked fabulous I was so excited. I was extremely let down, it looked larger on virtual but in reality very small and very chopped up. Not very interesting at all. For Sept. great weather expecting to spend some poolside time, but very uninteresting and not feasible. Me and my daughter in law were very excited about crafts and activities, we attended but again disappointed that you have to pay for the activity. Palmers Resorts Vacation is not cheap by all means, it quite expensive and then you pay for activities. We had fun. Handicap Accessibility was great. The kitchen was out of date, Dining Area not desireable, no tablecloth, placemats not even a simple decoration. Master Bedroom out of date, except Master Bath was handicap Accessibility. 2nd bedroom could never get lamps to works, our son who is handicapped and special needs we had to go out and lights bc he sleeps with lights on. 3rd bedroom out of date, dark, could open blinds bc it showed the walkway and elevator. Refrigerator did cool or freeze properly. It did no good to tell front desk. We kept busy, did alot of day trips to Savannah, Beaufort and enjoyed the times. We purchased batteries for all remotes. Final Blow was we are on bottom floor upon our request, BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE..... People above us was like a herd of Buffalo's, it was thump bump from 4am to 2 to 3 am. We called and we were told that they really couldn't do anything until 10pm. They also said everyone deserved a good vacation. I understand but morning till after midnight when were we have peace. I couldn't even read a book. Must less play family games we had brought and planned on playing. My daughter in law called Security and they came out talk with them and it didn't budge them. I called the following night and Security put blank told me they had already talk with them, what else did I expect. Next morning went to front desk said this was intolerable and I wanted something done or I would handle it myself. They offered a courtesy call. Courtesy Call I was speechless. I got DVD's to watch and the DVD's were missing out of box. Just...
Read moreSo first I called to see if we could check in an hour early to drop off the luggage i still of driving around with. They said yes, then we got there they said they would call us when the room is ready. It was after 4pm which is check in. She gave me a map to show me where the Villa was, but it has no street names on it. It took me almost an hour to find our place where we are standing even after calling the front desk telling them we were lost we could not find her villa they were like, “I don’t know how to help you.”I replied, “Well, isn’t that their job to help me find where I’m supposed to be sleeping?” Ugh! We got in the room and on the kitchen island was a bag of pee soaked baby clothes and a blanket. Then, my safe was broken, plus the phone to call the front desk was not working. We needed paper towels and trash bags. The couch was disgusting, dirty, dark, drips all over a yellow couch. The walk way the four steps to the villa had sand on the bottom so we constantly bringing sand into our villa. We moved the table to make room and there was food underneath the couches! Yuck! I tried to put the bag in the cabinet in the bathroom and mold all over the cabinet bottom!!! Nasty!!! The tub had hair inside so we didn’t use it. We requested another cutting board, because we couldn’t find until later, never got it. I talked to them about the safe and asked for all the other stuff! They NEVER came!!! I was so pissed!! I paid alot of money for three day probably the same amount for a whole week. I talked to apparently somebody, like a manager, when I checked out and she said to send her the pictures I took so I did, and she never responded to my email. we were super excited to go hang out at the lazy river, except for they don’t provide you any kind of flotation devices you have to bring your own. It’s a resort why do they not have some to rent or provided any??? So when I walked up to the bar, he was making drinks and was not talking to anyone and I asked him if I could ask him a quick question? So he told me he was busy that I would be with he would be with me in a moment!!! The bartender attitude, and speaking to customers was terrible to me as well when I ordered a drink instead of making my drink, which was vanilla vodka, and Coke he’s proceeded to fill his station by stacked cups, and filled up his grenadine bottle in front of me before he proceeded to make my drink! I’m will NEVER go back to scummy piece of trash, please! Wow!!! Oh, and beware of the concierge it’s a timeshare people and they called me three times within the first two hours of trying to check in!!! I blocked her number to have them...
Read moreUpdated review after consideration of stay: Room was booked for a last minute vacations and was given in area of long term condos. Arrived less than an hour early for check in, did pre check in, told reception not to rush that we had lots to do. Received call that room was ready in under 20 minutes, great. Dropped our stuff and left again for hours. Came back after dark, turned lights on and was actually able to see condo. Kitchen was dirty - food on cupboard doors, drawers were dirty which meant the utensils in them were dirty as well. The most disgusting part was the master bathroom. It looked like someone had groomed themselves and there was little hairs all over the walls, the door, the counter, you name it. So when it was cleaned, it just got smeared around. Of course it was to late in the day to call reception or housekeeping so we just closed the door and waited till morning. I tried to reach housekeeping and reception by phone multiple times and when no one answered I just went to reception directly. I explained the situation, was told they were contacting housekeeping and that it would be taken care of within the hour, even better. This was at 830am. I waited until 1130am when I decided to call and see where they were at, no answer by phone again, so I went to reception once more. Received and apology and they contacted housekeeping again. At 1pm a family member came back to condo, still nothing, they met us by the pool and we again talked to reception. We were told then that we were just put on the housekeeping list but not made first priority like they said but we would be next for cleaning. When we went back to the condo at 2pm after being at the pool they were just then cleaning. We double checked the bathroom which was better but still a bit hairy so we just finished wiping it down ourselves and gave them the towels. That's 6 hours of being told it would be cleaned ASAP. Of having to go to reception because they didn't answer the phone, I even watched them not answer it when it rang. The receptionists were all very nice but getting anything actually done didn't seem to happen. It seems that because we showed up a bit early, but told them we were not in a rush, meant that everyone forgot how to do their job. The good part of the trip was that the condo was very close to the beach and restaurants and we were able to walk to a lot of places that we wanted to be. Next time, we'll book well in advance and make sure that we do NOT stay in the long term condos as they seem to be low on their priority...
