Zero - Zero stars. Visited this place with our 2 littles during our visit this week. The host/waiter Ryan gave off 🔽 vibes. From the start the table we chose had ants all over so I requested to be given the cloth to clean it. He offered us another table and I rejected b/c I would clean it. Also COVID is still here. We didn't want to be near anyone coughing in the air near us. He reluctantly offered to clean it. Before our bottoms touched the seats, he rudely inquired about drinks. From that point we were turned off. 1st off we are all experiencing this pandemic in different and unimaginable ways and we still have Choices always available to us. 2nd - some folks are best served as host/hostesses vs servers depending on many factors. I highly doubt Ryan is a reflection of this business however 1st impressions matter. 3rd - if Ryan didn't want to serve us then he could've asked one of his colleagues who from the looks were more customer service oriented. In addition, we don't know if Ryan washed his hands before touching our uncovered straw tips and there was hair on our cups. Both unsanitary and unhygienic. If COVID has taught us 1 thing, its to be real and real transparent. Its taught us we need to take each other's health serious on every level mental, emotional, physical, spiritual. We don't know what was happening with Ryan nor is it our business. We just felt hurt because it appeared we were unwelcome and hope it wasn't because of the color of our skin. We have experienced wonderful treatment everytime we've visited HHI for the mostpart. We cannot...

We are on our honeymoon trip and this was our first stop! The First Lady who sat us down, chrissy, was super sweet and kind. We then got the most hateful and petty waitress I’ve ever met in my life. We got there around 11 and our waitress came to take our order. Since she came to the table she has an attitude. My husband asked her if the biscuits and gravy were still available. She interrupted him several times with an attitude (which made no since to me, as we were very kind and it was a simple question). She said “well the menu says we serve that at 8, and it’s after 11 now …so No.” My husband just tried to laugh it off and said “I just thought I’d ask” she looked at him and said “yeah no, well! this was fun .” And she slammed her note book shut, clicked her pen shut, and stormed off. Did not take our order. She continued on to other tables getting orders from people who came after us. Finally Chrissy came to check up on us and did a wonderful job taking care of us! I give Absolutely 5 stars to her. As we were sitting at our table you could hear that mean waitress talking about my husband to where we could HEAR HER. Saying “he’s playing around and I’m tired and not going to deal with it”. Thank you hateful waitress, for ruining our brunch at our first stop on our honeymoon! I wish I knew her name. She was an older white lady with brown hair. And y’all will never ever get service...

We came here for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. We'd tried a few other spots and they were all slammed, so we came to Plantation and still had to wait about a half an hour. One thing to know, they stop serving breakfast after 12pm, and they were warning folks who were getting on the list that they may not be seated in time to get breakfast. I was a little disappointed but it turned out we made it just in time for breakfast.

This was a good thing, cuz I think their breakfast menu is much more interesting than lunch. I'd highly recommend targeting breakfast if you're going to come here. We were seated outside as it was the first available space. There is a decently sized inside as well, but we were happy to get seated anywhere. It was a bit warm on the patio but there was an umbrella over our table and it worked out fine.

I got the chicken fried steak breakfast which I specified with scrambled eggs and hash browns, biscuit gravy, and a single biscuit. It was really good, it totally hit the spot and had lots of variety to it. We also got the crab cake Benedict, and the salmon benedict. Everyone else seemed to like their food as well. The coffee was also quite good.

Overall. I'd say this was a solid experience and I'd recommend you come down if you're looking for an ice spot...

The Plantation Cafe and Deli is a nice little out-of-the-way place near Coligny Plaza. Serving American style food and comfort food, the menu is extensive and varied. On our visit, the place was not very crowded and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean if a little dark. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. Our food arrived fairly quickly, and tasted very good. Although, for the price, I expected the portions to be a little bit larger. One of the specialties was fried green tomatoes, which my wife and father loved. I would highly recommend them. The bathrooms were past the kitchen, which was a little disconcerting. It's just odd to have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathrooms. Other than that, i didn't notice anything else untoward. All in all, I would return to the Plantation Cafe again.

Bad breakfast on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Asked for scrambled eggs with crispy bacon and crispy hash browns. Got hash browns saturated in oil that tasted like oil; not crispy hash browns. They were barely brown--see photo--evidence of cooking too slowly at too low a temperature with waaaaaay too much oil. Gross. Yet the eggs were burned brown and dried out, evidence of too much time on the flat-top, and they tasted terrible. The bacon was burned; not crispy, as though cooked that way for spite. I once served as a breakfast cook. Cooking tasty, crispy hash browns, crispy bacon, and properly cooked eggs all on the same flat-top IS possible--I used to do it. The waitress was surly, even before I mentioned the poor cooking, and she did not get nicer thereafter. The toast was good. The hostess was nice.
