Lowcountry Celebration Park — Attraction in Hilton Head Island

This is our favorite park in HHI! It’s so spacious and has so much to do. The main pirate ship play structure is well made and large enough to offer a variety of play options for lots of children. There is a smaller play structure for 2-5yos as well as swings, a seesaw, and some other play items. The park offers plenty of seating options, both shaded and sunny, including benches, logs, tables, porch swings, and even a seating area with outlets for those who need to bring their work along. On hot days, there is a splash fountain area as well as cannons on the ship that spray a cool mist of water. The park also provides a peaceful water view including some lovely turtles that sun themselves on the banks, and if you’re lucky, you may spot a gator! This park is quite fun! The large pirate ship design for the older kids play structure is very creative.

It’s not very accessible for larger children or adults to maneuver through aside from walking through the underside and around the upper edge. Nor is there much accessibility for less-able bodied individuals.

The biggest con we found for ourselves was that the smaller kids area was so close to the bigger kids structure that it was almost just as stressful trying to watch over our little one. The inattentive parents/guardians were the bigger cause of our uneasiness but even a gate separating the two areas may have reduced the rampaging of older kiddos over the little ones trying to enjoy the...

Talking as a kid, it was amazing! There were plenty of benches and shaded areas for the adults to sit down and watch their children. There were sanded areas and a lot of play equipment. Around the play areas was the paded ground so it's great for younger children in case of falls. The only thing is there are 4 baby swings and 1 giant swing, no regular swings for bigger kids. There were mist cannons that sprayed mist for a hot day and there is a pool, although when I went today the pool was empty 🤷‍♀️. There was also a younger kids playground too.
