I recently had the pleasure of visiting Southern Coney and Breakfast during my family's summer vacation in Hilton Head. After reading great things about this place, we decided to give it a try, and my gosh, were we blown away! From the moment we stepped in, our entire experience was nothing short of exceptional.
First and foremost, I must commend the incredible efforts of the host staff. Despite a small wait time, they went above and beyond to ensure everyone was seated promptly and together. Their dedication was evident as they checked nearby stores and called out names, leaving no waiting guest behind. To our surprise, the hostess even provided us with ice-cold waters to beat the scorching July heat while we waited. It was a small gesture that made us feel valued as guests.
When it was finally time for our party of five to be seated, the hostess kindly offered us a spot at the bar since no booths were available at that moment. We gladly accepted, and she made sure all of our seats were arranged next to each other. However, just as our drinks arrived, a booth became available. Without us having to ask, the hostess approached us, remembered our family's name, and invited us to move to the booth. This level of personalized service truly impressed us.
The exceptional service continued as our waitstaff took over. They were equally warm and friendly, making us feel welcome and comfortable. We were amazed by how quickly our food arrived at the table, and the deliciousness of the food exceeded our expectations, leaving us wanting more.
After such a remarkable experience, it is no wonder that Southern Coney and Breakfast has earned its well-deserved reviews. Although part of us wants to keep this gem a secret, we believe this restaurant deserves all the recognition it can get. We have already decided to make it a yearly tradition during our Hilton Head vacations, and we highly recommend others to do the same.
In conclusion, if you're looking for an unforgettable breakfast experience, Southern Coney and Breakfast is the place to be. From the attentive host staff to the kind and friendly waitstaff, this restaurant knows how to make guests feel special. The fast and delicious food only adds to the charm. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure—plan a visit and indulge in an extraordinary...
Read moreIt was just about the worst place I have ever dined in my whole life. Our first choice was Watusi's but they were all booked and second choice was Aloha next door but we did not like the power bowls. Finally we gave up and decided on here since we were late running to the airport. I asked for outside seating not possible since every table was taken . Asked for it to go after it was not possible. Table became empty and switched it to outside. The service staff dresses straight out of some movie with Margot Robbie with strange hair colors. I asked the older woman to make it to stay and give us a plate and silverware after she said it's too late and will be packed to go. Then we sat down outside and a woman with blue hair declared that we have to leave and the outside will be closed and screamed at my husband. I screamed back that you can't scream at your customers and that's when the fight broke out and they started to scream get out or we will call the police. Apparently there is logic to their extremely poor and bad behavior and it's that they were occupying the other sides restaurant without their knowledge , which they never explained. They were soon closing and the other restaurant was opening and didn't want them to know that they used their property. Well anyhow the police came and they tried to diffuse the situation. Said they have right to refuse service but they don't since they took our money. You should have done the right thing and said you are closing and can't provide outside seating. Instead they are flaky and running around like chickens without a head and blaming their customers and screaming at them for forgetting to stop the service when they are closing. Owners and wait staff are stupid, flaky , rude and unprofessional. Daughter w red hair said she is the owners daughter. They don't know how to treat their customers...
Read moreFood was AWESOME! My kids, mom and I greatly enjoyed the pancakes and everything. Kids meals were a little lacking with 1little piece of bacon. We started off with 1 server who explained the specialty pancake for the kids meal would add around 3 dollars, that was not the case when the bill came out. We felt a little discriminated against like we were the problem when I guess the manager/owner came out when we were just asking for clarification of the bill. It was then explained that the menu shows blueberries and whatever else are 1.25 extra and whipped cream is .50 so for the s'mores specialty pancakes it was extra per each individual item added (marshmallows 1.25, chocolate sauce 1.25, a sprinkle graham cracker crumbs 1.25, and whipped cream .50), was even charged 1.25 for cinnamonbeing added to plain pancakes and up-charge was not mentioned when ordering. If it was explained that way to begin with we wouldn't have had an issue. Maybe servers need to be trained better in explaining the menu when questions arise as well as management to not make the customer feel like they are the problem when having simple questions about unexpected extra charges on their bill. The kids might as well have gotten an adult meal and would have gotten so much more food for the same price. Limited seating inside. Visiting from out of town, probably...
