Our family has had many experiences in many states riding go karts. It was our kids’ first time driving. They usually ride double and just enjoy the ride. If I had read the various reviews with the word “rude” in the comments, we would not have went to this place. The man was friendly. The woman was not. The reviews frequently mention her. Her tone was sharp/yelling in an unfriendly manner. Not in an I’m being helpful and speaking loudly kind of way. Her facial expressions reflected the contempt and annoyance she seemed to feel. The kids left feeling chewed out and teary from this ladies treatment. Yes, I would normally kindly speak to a person about my concerns and not just type a negative review, however, I preferred to get my kids away from the situation and not be berated myself. Imagine yelling at a young driver trying to figure things out and how that would make a kid nervous and freeze up. A little patience and help before the kids drive off would have fixed the whole thing. If you focus on safety, (as they claim) realize that being angry doesn’t help people follow your directions when they’re nervous. I have watched people drive tractors my whole life but would need to think about it when doing it the first time. I certainly wouldn’t want someone telling, “You’re not listening to me.” I’ve made this review to share that we had the same experience as other customers. PS Look at their responses to other reviews and see how...
Read moreI’ll give a 4 star for Bigfoot Speedway. I love racing, all types, and we race every Saturday night at the dirt track in Nashoba OK. Our kids get to chose where to celebrate their birthdays and it’s always Hochatown. I absolutely can’t stand the traffic to get here or the wait in line, but our kids love it. It’s always packed. I just spent 30 mins reading the reviews for this place and I’ve noticed that there are a lot of complaints about people being rude…..I have experienced both pleasant and rude behavior here, however it mostly depended on how my behavior was towards them. I don’t agree with a lot of their rules, and I definitely don’t like that they can “slow you down” when they feel like they need to. I was slowed down for no real reason that I saw, except that I could actually drive and the other guys kept trying to take me out, so naturally I got a little upset, but overall it’s a decent place to go. I’ve noticed that the company only tends to respond to all the negative reviews on here……..unfortunately you won’t change the minds of negative people, you should focus more on your happy customers, that’ll draw more attention to bringing new customers to you. People are gonna get mad because you’re doing what’s best for your business, either make them happy or ignore their review because it looks worse on you when you give back hateful replies……..Keep running YOUR business how you have and you’ll...
Read moreFun little go-kart track with a few extra amenities, and a handful of general issues. Nestled just off of the main road, this spot provides an easy, though potentially pricey, entertainment option for family and friends taller than 55 inches (though shorter folks can still be passengers). Upon arrival, we were greeted with a plethora of signs detailing the rules, as well as the prices...I suppose $10 per ticket is reasonable, but again, if you're rolling deep and covering the cost, it's gonna put a dent in your wallet. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, with only 1 party in front of us...but as soon as they completed the transaction, our ticket vendor walked off for roughly 10 minutes (we later discovered that she was the only person working the front, and had to go make hot dogs and snow cones around the corner for the same guests). Once we sat down and buckled up, things got pretty good. The track crew was friendly and explained the rules without sounding like they had an authority complex. After we started, I really enjoyed the zip of my cart, and could tell that the crew really took care of their rides. The track has just enough twists and turns to keep it fun, and some slickness to allow for some cool power slides (just avoid hitting anyone, house rules). All in all, if you're not against waiting around a bit, it's a good way to...
