The building is old but nicely decorated and has lots of interesting old western facts next to the booths. However, the food is terrible. For those prices, the food was expected to be astronomically better.
Mozzarella Sticks + Teriyaki Chicken + Spaghetti + 1 Lemonade = $61.50
(Steak is $30. Last time I went here with family I got the Ribeye and for $30 I was basically robbed. Very VERY plain and bare bottom steak. I came back with my husband to give them the benefit of the doubt, bad choice.)
It really felt like a lot of it could’ve been bought at walmart and poorly prepared. The mozzarella sticks tasted like they were bought in the frozen section at any store and reheated. I got the spaghetti and although it came with a much bigger portion than I expected it to, it tasted like the sauce was canned. The garlic bread was their bread rolls with garlic butter on them, but I tasted no garlic. Very plain. My husband got the teriyaki chicken. For his dish being more expensive than mine, we’re both severely disappointed. It looks like most of the meal is missing from the plate. The chicken was basically the size of two slightly bigger chicken nuggets. The sauce wasn’t tasty either. If you want to spend a lot of money on walmart level food but have a cute place to look at, come here. Service was really great though. Very nice staff/owner. Only bad thing about this place is the food. The very expensive prices would be justified if the food was actually good and...
Read moreWe checked the reviews for this place and decided to give it a chance anyway . It was our last night of our vacation and we wanted to something special. When we eat out, we look for three things: atmosphere, service and food. All three were subpar at this place.
First: atmosphere. This place is OLD. From the billboard to the exterior, this place needs some work. The inside was dark and the decor shabby
Second: food. The menu is over priced. For what they were charging, you would expect much better. My fried chicken was dry. My wife had the beef rib special. The ribs (3)were of generous size but they were swimming in a too spicy bbq sauce.
Third: service. This is where there were serious problems. Our server was initially friendly and helpful. However, when it can time to cash out - she ARGUED with me as I gave her my card the second time and she said I didn't hand her the credit card in the first place. She brought us the black folder twice. We did not say that she was lying about our attempt to pay for our dinner, but she walked around mumbling about it.
It was the manager who eventually gave us the receipt. The situation was escalated instead of descalated. We highly suggest that if you are looking for a nice place to dine, with good food priced fairly- this is NOT the...
Read moreThere was no one up front when we got there. Very minimal people inside. They took about 7 minutes to make their way to the front to seat us after sending my bf to the back to find someone. The menu's were hand-priced changed because they didn't want to print new paper menus. Steaks were overpriced for the quality. I was expecting a prime cut for $32 steak. Keep in mind I am just visiting from a bigger city, same state. The steak was barely seared but inside cooked perfectly. Seasoned..not so much. Their mashed potatoes seemed to be taken out of a whole potato and just mashed with a little water. There was no flavor. They reserved all of their flavor (garlic) for the veggies and their zucchini tasted like burnt hair. Service was par. Loved that they brang a pitcher of good-tasting water our table with the small mismatched glasses provided. Made it easier not to hassle the staff on refill. As for the ambience, it was great. Cattle horns on every booth. Old town history on the walls for reading, lighting was perfect for reading the menu's. Thank you! No background music, just hearing the gentle conversations of others. Silverware was unique, very flat. Gave it that old town western style. Tables dark stained. And outside very...
