Such a fun combination of engaging activities and water. There is a play structure which is a series of water pumps and pipes the water can be routed and stopped along. I think the actual pumping of water makes it more engaging for children and adults. Actual work has to be done which seems to bring more enjoyment and satisfaction to the users. Kids fill up a section, close it off and add more water. Open it up; let the water run down and so on and so forth.
The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. I love that the base of the playground structure is soft and can be enjoyed while children have bare feet.
The large musical instruments are also so fun. Real music can be played on them because they are tuned to a major scale. It’s sp fun!
The park is shady in the evening. There is a lovely path to walk on and a large field to play on as well. Benches scatter the perimeter. Plenty of seating. And a lovely pavilion is also available. Worth plenty of seating, lights and cover...
Read moreWe always enjoy our time at this park. If you come early Sunday mornings (before 8 or 9am) there's not a lot of people around. We enjoyed a nice picnic under the trees, then we walked the perimeter of the park, up into the woods, under the freeway overpass & all the way to the suspension bridge behind the Market Place Restaurant. If you have children, the playground is very nice. The equipment is high quality & clean. There's a nice picnic pavilion next to it & picnic tables throughout the park. There's a little water park as well, where the kids can play & stay cool. I'm not too sure if they have the water on at this time though during the (drought). If you ride a bike, they have a nice repair station on the sidewalk by the parking lot. This park is all in all a beautiful place for a nice walk, sit & read a book or bring the kids to play. Definitely one if...
Read moreKnudsen park is fantastic! Really nice playground in great condition, a few walking trails, right near the base of the mountains, has nice bathrooms and drinking fountains. Gorgeous place! Several shaded tables under a pavilion. Has the coolest water feature (it's not a splash pad). It's an interactive feature of water pumps, dams, and troughs, running through boulders to climb on. It's best when several kids are using it at the same time so some kids can pump and some can turn the spiral thing that carries water to the troughs. My kids didn't want to leave. Based on other google reviews, due to drought they might turn the water off at various times throughout the day but when we were there from 11-1pm it was on. This will be a place we go to often this summer. That water feature gives your arms great exercise and it's nice seeing kids...
