We really normally love coming here. We probably will but we've been super disappointed in our most recent experience.
The room wasn't up to par. Not enough blankets on bed, the pillows are really big and not comfy, the freezer didnt work at all, and no microwave. Anywhere. The store sells items to be warmed but nowhere to warm them?
The spa has gone down hill. We won't do it again. The massage therapists were just ok. They aren't good enough. My girl had terrible moments in massage. Mostly just pressed. I thought she was falling asleep because she would stop. Terrible massages. The chairs in the 'atrium' are new and terrible. A pleather material as you sit in a very thin robe. It's cold. The room was cold, the sheets on the massage table are terrible feeling. There use to be lounge chairs in the atrium. Not anymore. It doesn't feel relaxing. 1🌟 Also there were 2 tea machines out of order! Get those fixed already. 1🌟 We do love the pool area for adults and the weather today was perfect. That was a 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
And! The restaurant options are fine way downhill! Bring your own food. Seventy-one Is not worth it. Less than diner food quality. Honestly it is way expensive and food is not worth it. We wouldn't go back. Forklift Has also changed. The food options are different than what we've had in the past and the quality is gross and mushy. I won't go back there either. Again expensive for gross food. We went to the juice bar and coffee place. (Can't remember the name but it's by the bathrooms and pizza place) The juice and coffee were awesome. Go there.
We didn't do any of the activities but most weren't open either. Just...
Read moreI have always had an outstanding experience at Snowbird. My wife and I first visited Snowbird when we came to Utah house hunting. We came for the 4th of July breakfast and took the gondola up to Hidden Peak and hiked down. We had a blast. Soon as we moved we bought season passes and spent at least one day each weekend hiking at Snowbird with the family. Oktoberfest at Snowbird was fun; a little expensive for the food but we enjoyed it. Once operations switched over to winter we have been skiing and snowboarding every weekend. We have really enjoyed Snowbird - seems like the conditions change a lot from weekend to weekend so it always feels a little different each time and we don’t get bored or burned out. Customer service has been great at Snowbird; all the lift operators I have interacted with have been super friendly and when one of my kids dropped a hiking pole from the lift an operator walked a grid for about 10 minutes till he found it. One of the few things we haven’t tried yet is mountain biking Snowbird, but that is in the plan for next Spring. Getting to Snowbird via UTA is really easy and convenient once the winter season busses kick into service. I have a 4WD, but it’s just so much easier just to grab a UTA bus at one of the Park’n Ride stops. The bus is free with the season pass, which is pretty awesome and much better than having...
Read moreFour days before Valentine Day I got on Snowbird reservation site and obtained reservations to have dinner the evening of the 14th at the Steak Pit. When I got to Snowbird I called the Steak Pit (or Snake Pit ) to ask for directions and to confirm my reservation. I was told that my reservations were for the Arie, I assured the young lady that I indeed had made reservations at the Steak Pit. She indicated that some sort of error had occurred and the restaurant was full and could not accommodate my needs. I found it very odd that there was no offer to come in and she would seat us as soon as possible.
Upon arrival at the Arie I told the General manager I was dismayed and why and she told me the problem had happened before. A bell rang in my head, why had it not been corrected! Further thought brought me to conclude they let it happen with out fixing the problem because they make a higher profit margin by allowing it to happen. The old "bait and switch"! Morals aside they chose the transaction over the...
